The Youth Culture and Arts Center is a program of Youth Empowerment through Arts and Humanities.

Its sister programs are The Southern Girls Rock and Roll Camp and the School of Recording .
We offer after school lessons and workshops in songwriting, screenprinting, writing, and photography.
Potential uses of the space include a zine library, recording studio, band rehearsal space, meeting space for local organizations and special events. We hope to operate a space large enough to host The Southern Girls Rock & Roll Camp each summer as well as other summer programs.
We need interested people to let us know how they would like to be involved. Your input in the planning stages will help make this an inclusive and true community center.

In addition to volunteer time and services, we are going to need to raise a large amount of money. We can't do it alone but we believe that it can happen. We're currently on a campaign to raise startup funds and need your help. Please consider organizing a fundraiser or making a donation by clicking here:
Make A Donation!
If 100 people donate $10, there will be $1,000 toward the first month's rent.
If 100 people pledge to donate or raise $60, the organization will have $6,000 toward the first months rent, deposit, equipment, building supplies, nonprofit filing fees, and insurance.
If 100 people organized an event that raised even $150, the organization would have $15,000 to get things going the first few months.
Let's try it!
And if you can help us find a space to lease, you will be our hero!
