Robert Redford(saw him speak last year...wow), Woody Allen (Annie Hall is my go to movie when I need a pick me up),JK Rowling (yes I am a Harry Potter freak), Francis Ford Coppola, M. Night Shyamalan(wouldn't you love to pick his brain?)... writers, screenwriters and other people in the industry...I love to talk to other creative people, especially if they are in the same field. It's so hard to break out in this business so the more contacts the better. The way I see it, the more creative and inspiring people you surround yourself with...them more you will be inspired to create.
Colby Logan, Ben Taylor, David Grey, Sheryl Crow, Keb Mo, The Black Crowes, Shawn Colvin, Paul Simon, The Eagles, Billy Joel, Sting.....so many to add when I have more time!
There are so many good movies out there and soooo many bad ones! Woody Allen films are probably my favorite, mainly because of the reality he finds and the honest words he gives his characters. Match Point is incredible! I also love the old school Steve Martin films. His comedic timing is incredible. THere are a lot really, to list them all would take forever!
We actually don't watch television at home. Movies yes, but actual t.v. shows no. I was a huge fan of Friends and Sex in the City in their prime, but now I am out of the loop. I sort of gave up when reality t.v. took over.
I am addicted to reading. Some people make fun of me because I read the same books three and four times, but I love all fiction from Jennifer Weiner to J.k. Rowling to Stephen King and Anne Rice. From the classics to the sci-fi mysteries, my books are my escape that I cherish. The more one of my books has bent pages and a cracked binding, the more the pages soften to the touch with a reading then the more I love them.
