BIOGRAFIA
Nato nel 1982, inizia dieci anni dopo a posar le mani sulla chitarra e fonda il suo primo gruppo a 14 anni con il quale si esibisce per la prima volta in pubblico un anno dopo. Il nome del gruppo era ‘’sex wax’’ ed il genere suonato grunge rock che si ispirava ad artisti come i Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Soundgarden. A 17 anni vince il suo primo concorso musicale con la band, ‘’ ricreazione 00’’ un concorso per gruppi emergenti, stesso concorso che gli permette di esibirsi in un festival internazionale ‘’Rockaralis 6.0’’ ed aprire il concerto ai Marlene Kuntz, stesso festival in cui si sono esibiti anche gli Hives, Niels Jensen Project e Sonic Youth a cui fanno seguito numerose interviste e apparizioni in parecchi programmi televisivi. Il gruppo dura otto anni e con il quale ha inciso alcune demo e si esibisce live in tutta la sardegna. Nel 2006 con Corrado Lotta, forma i ‘’Drunk’n Dirty’’ con l’intento di fare musica country western . Il progetto consente ai due di esibirsi in tantissimi contesti. Nel 2007 il ‘’duo’’ diventa gruppo, le canzoni suonate sono tutte scritte da Fabio Canu. Incide numerose canzoni e firma il contratto discografico con la Banana records 2.0/Universo, un etichetta romana con sede anche a Londra della quale fanno parte numerosi artisti conosciuti a livello internazionale. Nel ottobre del 2008 esce il suo primo singolo ''comfort'' contenente due tracce (la prima''comfort'' e la seconda ''Sometimes''). Il Singolo è venuto in tutti i migliori negozi di dischi digitali Mtv, I-tunes, Rossoalice,Mediaworld, Tiscali, Msn Music, Nokia music store. L'uscita discografica è appoggiata da vari siti musicali e riviste. Il brano vince un concorso on-line (www.jamyourself.com), inoltre è mandato in onda in numerose radio sarde ed internazionali. Il brano è in promozione sul myspace di Emergenti italiani (ilmyspace creato e gestito da persone nel settorediscografico Italiano). Il genere suonato è un country rock con influenze che vanno dal grunge allo Swing, dal western al Funky. A giugno del 2009 uscirà l'album '' Miles Miles Away'' seguito dal video del singolo.
BIOGRAPHY
Born in 1982, ten years after he starts playing guitar and, at the age of 14, he starts his first group: an year later he performs for the first time in public. The group, named “sex waxâ€, played grunge rock and drew inspiration from artists such as Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Soundgarden. At 17 he wins with the band “ricreazione 00†his first musical contest for emerging groups. And this same contest allows him to perform at an internationalfestival, “Rockarlis 6.0â€, and to open Marlene Kunz’s concert at that same festival where Hives, Niels Jensen Project and Sonic Youth perform. The group lasts eight years, cuts some demos and performs live in the whole Sardinia. In 2006, with the purpose of playing country western music, he starts “Drunk ‘n Dirty†with Corrado Lotta and this project allows them to perform in different contexts. In 2007 the “duo†becomes a group playing songs all written by Canu. He cuts many songs and signs a recording contract with Banana Records: his first single is Comfort. The single is on air in a lot of international radio. The genre is country rock with many influences: grunge, western, funk, reggae, without disdaining electronic sounds.Boundaries imposed by music genres have been fully knocked down and music is meant at 360° as any single hue of life.
