Influenced by bands such as Slayer, Kreator, Destruction, Celtic Frost and Possessed, Steve C recorded a crude 6 song demo in 1988 mixing Thrash and early Death Metal. This demo led to the formation of the band Festive Death. Joining guitarist, vocalist Steve C was Scott F on bass, Josh C on guitar and Brent R on drums. With the line-up complete, the band began rehearsing and working on new material. Tired of the moniker Festive Death, the name Blood-Soaked was adopted in 1989. During this time the band's sound changed greatly, moving away from the thrashier Festive Death to a more brutal and technical Death Metal style. In 1990, Brent R quit the band and was replaced on drums by Jason B. Shortly after, Jason T (Embalmed) joined the band on vocals. This line-up lasted only a short time and the band officially called it quits in 1992. After many years in other bands or out of the music scene altogether, Blood-Soaked has returned to record this material in the studio for the first time.
