Billy Levy from Billy and the Firm is a star quality in your face.
She's a charismatic rocker and the most ultra cool, sexy performer you will find today in town. No shticks, guaranteed.
Bam Bam Bam Bam! It beats like a hammer, like a drum, like a wild pulse, like a heart of someone in love.
Like Billy And The Firm, a second after they go up on stage and start the show with this strong number.
But before you go see them live, do yourself a favor and go to their Myspace page. And if you're already there, get ready. Put on a protective vest, just to be on the safe side: 'Bam Bam,' the first track on the track list will drop you to your ass. You'll soon get up and by the second track you'll get kicked in the ass again. You won't escape the stroke of the third track either.
When the fourth track hits you, you'll already have departed -- in some mysterious way – to rise again somewhere else.

THOUGHTS ABOUT THE ALBUM RECORDINGS, THOUGHTS ABOUT THE BAND
& THOUGHTS ABOUT U.
************************************************************
************************
'I have always loved music but I had no idea I'll end up having such a blustery romance with my guitar and later on with my computer.
Feeling like a tourist in my own country, is what mainly drives me to create my music.
I'd say 'Thoughts From The Lioness Lab' is a carefully planned accident.
I was recording those demos at my home studio, for about two years, experimenting with different guitar sounds, harmonies, vocal attitudes and versatile moods to reflect the quiet storm I had for years in my mind.
The final album guitars and drums at Gram's Studios / Hertzelia with the help of my exhilarant great friend Shlomi Lavie (Habiluim, Marcy Playground N.Y.C) and Ben Tversy (lead vocalist youngster for punk rock Israeli band 'Plishat Hutfey Hagufut').
Shaham Ohana Bass guitar lines were recorded at Chakamoon/Jaffa Studios.
My dear neighbor, Uzi Finerman's guitar parts were documented at my Jaffa home studio on a lazy afternoon and Ken stringfellow's guitars were recorded in May09 when we were mixing the album at his paris based studio.
My vocals were recorded in my bedroom with the help of my wooden doors closet and two green sofa mattresses.
When most of the recordings were complete I took my rectangular piece of metal drive back into my factory and spent quiet a few hot summer nights with MR Cubase SX3 at the Billy And The Firm's Jaffa cozy factory cutting, pasting, rewinding, playing and adding more guitar layers and vocals into the whole composition. Once this stage was over I had Dr. Stringfellow check the exhibit, mix it in his lovely Parisian lab and then the album was sent straight to Rick Fisher's mastering table.
'Thoughts From The Lioness Lab' is going to be released on Feb 2010 thanks to our German & US. label guys Karsten kuestner and Brian Olson.
BILLY AND THE FIRM the band, was formed in August 2008 when the album was almost done.
The name was Suggested By Ben T. while I had another idea for a name, I suggested that we'll flip a coin, he obviously won.
a little history axis :
Drums- Ben Tversky> onatan lifshitz>Tal Miller
Bass- Valerie Shpolansky>> Emanuel Slonim > Dan Zeytun.
guitars- Juan Del Toro
My second obsession in life is video-art, as a video artist I've been collaborating mainly with the Balkan Beat Box, Firewater, Oi Vavoy, NYRelex, Arik Lavie and other great musicians.
In everyday life I mainly use Hebrew whereas English is my lyrical playground I think my songs are descriptive yet dreamy. At times, they will tell a story, draw you into a world of a persona with a semi hallucinative mind. The same can be said of my work as a video artist. Where else would you find a man with a tom drum on his head waltzing with a belly dancer in the middle of a desert?!'
