Stephan Michael is the lead vocalist and guitarist of "The Stephan Michael Band", a project formerly marketed as Stephen Michael Gibb. Stephan was formerly signed to Gizmo Records from 1995-2005 but they went out of business and Stephan decided that he would re-release the material on his label giving new life to the haunting and personal tracks that are the signature Stephan is known by.As the songwriter of this project Stephan believes that his songwriting is the most effective way to touch on difficult subjects, working with some of the best artists to compliment his songwriting, singing and guitar playing makes this project so rewarding.As an artist Stephan has opted not to form a live band so that he can spend the time promoting and developing the music and broadening his listening audience, allowing him time for people to get to know him up close and personal. Stephan has tried to find the answers to life's difficult questions and tried to find the truth as painful as it might be. The songs are all based on beliefs that he shares, people that he has met and experiences that he has had over the 37 years on this earth. One thing is for sure the songs are a haunting look into a man that has tried to make sense of this life and his place in it, and I'm sure that you will enjoy the journey along with Stephan as he discovers life.
