About Me

Born in Tennessee on May 16, 1986, Megan Denise Fox started taking drama and dance lessons at the age of five and thrived from the very beginning. Despite a move to Florida when she was 10, Megan's parents did not let their youngest daughter forego her talent, and so the future actress continued her training.
By age 13, her dancing had led to modeling opportunities and Fox excelled in this new arena. In 1999, she won several awards at the American Modeling and Talent Convention in Hilton Head, South Carolina. With this new credit, Megan fox began venturing into acting, and after she moved to Los Angeles, a future career in showbiz looked probable.
In 2001, Megan made her film debut as “Brianna Wallace” in Tapestry Films’ “Holiday in the Sun”. In 2002, Megan landed a contract role on “Ocean Avenue”, a tele-novella which shot in Miami, FL for the coming year. Only days after she was wrapped from production in Miami, Megan set off to Los Angeles where she was cast within the month as series regular “Cassandra”, in the WB’s new comedy pilot “The Help”. In 2003, Megan landed the starring role of “Carla Santini” opposite Lindsay Lohan in Walt Disney Pictures’ feature film “Confessions Of A Teenage Drama Queen”.
In 2004, Megan filmed a lead role in ABC Family’s “Crimes of Fashion” where she played “Candace Birch”, one of the bright lights of thefashion University. “Crimes of Fashion” was directed by Steven Robman and executive produced by Sheri Singer.
In the same year, Megan had several guest starring appearances including the WB’s “What I Like About You”, CBS’s “Two And A Half Men” and ABC’s 2004/2005 comedy pilot, “News To Me” And secured a spot on the Kelly Ripa-led sitcom Hope & Faith who she plays Sydney Shanowski.
In 2007, Megan starred alongside Shia Labeouf in the box office hit, "The Transformers". Look for Megan Fox in more preeminent roles in the near future.
Tattoos
Megan Fox has a passion for tattoos and she loves just about everything about them. She got her first one when she was 18 and recovering from a bad breakup. “I got the Japanese symbol for strength on the back of my neck, which is pretty cheesy. I was really scared, but it didn’t hurt at all. So now I’m addicted.” Fox often designs and sketches them by herself. She has at least 7 tattoos at the moment - possibly a few more!
“I’m an artist also, and I sketch up all of my own tattoos. As lame as it sounds, it really is a form of expression for me. I don’t want to be one of those people who has their arms sleeved, or a shirt or vest of tattoos. But it is something that I really enjoy. So until I think I pushed it far enough, I’m going to keep getting them.”
“Every time I get a tattoo, it’s a little fuck you to anyone who tells me not to. It’s weird to be part of Hollywood, which tries to control every aspect of people, from what they say to the color of their hair. And I like the way getting a tattoo feels. If I’m depressed, it’s nice to get one and deal with the pain. I have one all the way down to my ribs. It hurt, but it felt good?like twisting a loose tooth. I’m not kidding when I say that if I ever lose a role because of my tattoos, I’ll quit Hollywood and go to work at Costco.”
“All the tattoos that I’ve gotten are things that I got on the spur of the moment and that I’m very passionate about. All the rest of my tattoos have very deep meanings. They’re not things I would ever get removed for any reason.”
Megan’s tattoos include:
Megan’s most recent tattoo is a picture of Marilyn Monroe on her left wrist because she has always admired the actress as a person. (”Marilyn was one of the first people I ever saw on TV when I was a baby. My mum says whenever I heard her voice I would cry. I had immense empathy for her.”)
A tribal of two waves on her other forearm because she surfs and is obsessed with the ocean. Apparently the tattoo did not turn out as Megan wanted as the tattoo artist was smoking weed. She will likely remove this tattoo at some point
“We will all laugh at gilded butterflies”: A quote from Shakespeare’s King Lear on her shoulder. To her it means not to get too caught up in Hollywood or everyone will end up laughing at you
Poem written by herself on her ribcage: “There once was a little girl who never knew love until a boy broke her heart”. It is a tribute to a friend who died in a car crash A symbol for strength on her neck
Her boyfriend Brian Austin Green’s name tattooed next to her “pie”
Star and moon symbol on her ankle
