My old and not so old buddies. Basically, I joined cuz I am really bad at keeping in contact with people, I hate talking on the phone and it doesn't get any easier to K.I.T. on this site since damn near everyone I know is on this thing.
At HOME: Gospel (Kirk Franklin, Fred Hammond, Smokie Norful) and R&B (My favs right now are anything Neyo) I'm a big fan of Coldplay to mellow me out after a long day at school. And when it comes to Jazz, I'm a huge fan of Billie Holliday. In the CAR: Hip hop (real hip hop like The Roots, Common, Kanye West, Talib Kweli, Mos Def - people who have something to say) but I have to keep it real.. JayZ or should I say Shawn Carter is the best lyricist alive today. His analogies are sick!In the MP3 Player: Dancehall Reggae, Reggaeton, and Salsa (nothing like some caribbean and latin beats to help motivate you in the gym)
The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Crash, Wedding Crashers and Hotel Rwanda, XMEN Trilogy
MTV basically...I know it's garbage but it's entertaining garbage. I think I'm addicted. Besides MTV I watch America's Next Top Model, medical related shows (it reinforces the education I'm getting from school) like House and Grey's Anatomy. I also love Law and Order SUV, Law and Order Criminal Intent, and Lifetime Movies (i'm such a chick).
The Holy Bible; The Purpose Driven Life; The Autobiography of Assata Shakur; Suze Orman's The Money Book for the Young, Fabolous, and Broke; Ntozake Shange's Book for Colored Girls who have Considered Suicide when the Rainbow is Enuf.
Jesus (because he stands for everything that is good and against everything that is wrong), My mom (for overcoming all of the many struggles in her life to get to where she's at today), My dad (for being so selfless and loving me like his own), and my husband (for being the most dedicated, goal-oriented, honorable man I've ever met, who has never given up regardless of the obstacles he has faced).
