I am here for Dating, Friends and Networking

About Me

About me... I would say I'm a compulsive dreamer... or just chronically distracted. I find it difficult to take a compliment. I'm obsessed with the search for the perfect play list. I walk a lot. I am a one man crusade against internet Ebonics. My words tend to drip with sarcasm, which puts a lot of people off when they first meet me. It's just a defense mechanism because I don't consider myself as extroverted as many people think I am. I enjoy solitude but thrive off of groups. I'm an only child of divorced parents, and I couldn't have a better family life. I have traveled to many countries, I've been to every continent except Africa and Antarctica. I have lived in four different cities and one other country. I love the heat, I am a child of the tropics and the desert. I spent much of my time growing up in Hawaii and New Mexico. I just graduated from Southern Oregon University in Ashland. I moved down to Las Cruces to take advantage of the new Film program. That's where I'm at now.

My Interests

Film, Theatre, Vidja Games, Graphic Novels, Regular Run of the Mill Novels, Cooking, but not cleaning, T-Shirts with Fun Graphics on them.

I'd like to meet:

Some one with their shit together and their head on straight. Some one who reads, and enjoys good cinema and isn't a picky eater. Also... is it too much to ask that grammar and spelling are at least at a high school level? If you worship rich debutaunts or pop diva's you probably aren't for me, but I'm sure we can still be friends. As far as adds go, send me a message and introduce yourself. If I don't know you and I get a friend request from you, I probably won't add you back until I get a message from you. Oh and don't bother trying to add me if your profile is private. If I can't even look at your profile the request will be promptly deleted. Its not snobbery, just a conditioned apathy against the unknown.I am fiercely independent, sometimes to the point where you could call it straight up selfish. I like my space and my free time to pursue my projects that are ultimately going to help me grow as a person and film maker. I guess what that translates too is that if you are high maintnence or uber clingy, you need not apply.

Music:

God where to start.... The Decemberists, Matisyahu, Bruce Hornsby, K-OS, and Marc Broussard are the most frequent things assaulting my ears. Ben Folds, and Rufus Wainwright hold a special place in my heart. I also enjoy BedLight for Blue Eyes, The beatles, Scissor Sisters, The Shins, The Postal Service, Cat Stevens, RJD2, Ben Harper, Cunninglynguists, The Flaming Lips, Ben Kweller, the Garden State Soundtrack, and many others. I am not too picky when it comes to music, the only thing that really grates on my nerves is 98.4% of country.

Movies:

The Fisher King, Brokeback Mountain, Falling Down, Donnie Darko, The Evil Dead series, Night of the Living Dead (and subsequent sequals), The Alien Trilogy(Resurrection is dead to me), Tommy Boy, Most super hero movies (not daredevil, the hulk, or fantastic four) Good Will Hunting, Mrs. Doubtfire, Boondock Saints, Howls Moving Castle, Heights, March of the Penguins, On the Water Front, Lawrence of Arabia, God Father, Deer Hunter, Good Fellas, Little Miss Sunshine, The Departed, Jaws, The Producers (Original not the musical), Mr. Smith goes to Washington, Science of Sleep, American Beauty, Hud, Rebel without a Cause, and if I list all of them I will get carpal tunnel.

Television:

Flight of the Conchords, Californication, 30 Rock, Venture Bros, the Food Network, the Office, Weeds, Dexter, and some others.

Books:

My two favorite authors are Christopher Moore and Neil Gaiman. After I read Practical Demonkeeping and Sandman (respecitvly) I was hooked like a fat kid on hot pockets. As far as their books go, for Mr. Moore: Lamb, Fluke, and A Dirty Job are among my favorites, but any paper he touches turns to gold. And my favorite works of Mr. Gaiman include Sandman, Neverwhere, American Gods, and Good Omens.Other authors I am fond of are David Sedaris, Augusten Bouroughs, and Orson Scott Card, but I am not limited to these.

Heroes:

Spider Man, Sir Francis Drake, Robin Williams, Sir Anthony Hopkins, Neil Gaiman, Christopher Moore, Marlon Brando, Elia Kazan, Kevin Spacey, Marryl Streep, Chaplin, Akira Kurosawa
