lone wolf and cub, all john waters, all david lynch (especially older), all johnny depp, all kevin kline, all monty python (those guys are brilliant!), huge huge martial arts fan. best one i've seen is iron chicken vs. centipede starring jet li. so cool. i also love michelle yeoh and chow yun fat. any musical must go through rigorous testing, but sci fi and fantasy are widely accepted. good kid movies i still watch: the point, wizard of oz, labyrinth and the dark crystal, and charlie and the chocolate factory
Television:
kids in the hall, simpsons, south park, x-files, queer as folk, buffy, and absolutely nothing else. i'm not kidding. i get no channels.
Books:
the dune series, the foundation series, anything by kurt vonnegut or robert cormier, chronicles of narnia, she's come undone by wally lamb, vampire chronicles and beauty trilogy by anne rice, anything by sherri s. tepper (really--some of the best writing i've ever read!), walt whitman, john milton, upton sinclair's the jungle was excellent.
