About Me

Even though I have reached middle age, I have earned the nicknames "Old Man" and "Big Daddy D." I look out for my friends and family, sometimes to a fault. I am that big brother or father that somebody needed and never had. I wear the hats of husband, dad, grandpa, and father-in-law. At times I have more on my plate than I know what to do with. I love my friends and family, they are my life. Most belong to my church, which is a big part of my life. Lately, I've gotten to spend time with my grandson......that's been really cool. This kid is a blast to be around. I'm having a kick playing flag football and softball for my church, and currently working on a play that we're hoping will blow people away. My Interests

Football, baseball, pro wrestling, reading, music, and acting. By the way.......NASCAR ROCKS!!!!!!!!! I love history and reading history in my spare time, when I have any. I mostly like the War for the Southern Independence (sorry folks....nothin' civil about that war). In school I specialized in little battles that changed the course of things....the Alamo, Battle at Little Bighorn, Isandlwana and Rorke's Drift.

I'd like to meet:

I'm married......there's no one left to meet.

Music:

Pretty much anything Skynyrd, southern rock in general, good heavy metal, a lot of what they call classic rock. I like old school country, and I'm very fickle when it comes to any form of Christian rock.

Movies:

Nothing wrong with a good western, just about anything John Wayne, and a good comedy.

Television:

Right now I'm hooked on "Dog: The Bounty Hunter" and "Gene Simmons Family Jewels."

Books:

Fictionally, anything John Jakes has wrote is cool. Lester Dent's creation, Doc Savage is fun to read.

Heroes:

My Dad, my Pastor some of the dudes in the Bible were really cool, John Wayne, and Batman.
