Hard-hitting. Fearless. Sexy.
These are just three of the words that up-and-coming Twin Cities rap artist Speshul K likes to use when he talks about himself. But mere words cannot fully describe this man, whose trademark pink bathrobe has become an icon among the perennially hip masses who constitute his audience. Spouting off on everything from violent lesbians ("Dyke Bitch") to condescending talk-shows ("Bully Pulpit") to overworn rap stereotypes ("Keeping It Gangsta"), Speshul K is sure to entertain, enlighten and offend any audience lucky enough to catch his live show.
But don't take my word for it! Just look at what these other crunk musicians have to say on the subject of Speshul K:
“Speshul K is the most unique performer I’ve ever seen in Minneapolis. Witty, hilariously offensive, and completely entertaining from start to finish. He’s the pleasant surprise you wish you found every time you decided to check out new music.†-David Priebe ( Maudlin )
“Speshul K, orator of truth, shameless mouthpiece of the depraved and curator of funky beats is quickly becoming a local iconoclast and mainstay of the midwest's electronic and hip hop communities. Check out his shit before he checks yours.†-Aaron Wiener ( Root City Band , 8 Switch Assembly , the Dan Ristrom Band, Buckets and Tap Shoes , Sweet Paulie T and the Blues Blasters , and former music critic for The Dink newspaper)
"In my 24 years on this earth, I never had my jaw drop to the floor until I saw Speshul K. It was scrumtrulescent!!!!" -Footer ( North To Emerson )
“Speshul K practices a brand of thuggishness that would make Tony Montana sick, and his chauvinistic disdain for trick bitches can dislodge X chromosomes from unborn fetuses within a 3 mile radius.†-Chris Johnson ( Valhalla Drive )
