About Me

All these songs are vintage except Pixel Bitch , which was written for my dear friend Alyssa for her birthday this year (2008.)In 1989 I met Kevin Smith while performing with him in a dinner theater production of "Funny Girl" at Toby's Dinner Theater in Columbia, MD (yes, I know how impressive that is.) We formed "Wisheart" just hanging out backstage, singing, connecting and having fun - we did some recording, too. After we'd been together for about 4 years, Kimi Auty - with whom we knew from the dinner theater "circuit" - joined and for about 2 years we were a trio. We later went back to being a duo, recorded a few more things then moved to L.A.
Kevin, being the rolling stone that he is, moved out of Cali within a year, and is still creating beautiful music. I'm still here in L.A., working at PriceGrabber and beginning to dip my toe back in the musical pond.
I'm finding and uploading old Wisheart recordings (cassettes, people, this was the Neolithic pre-CD era.) Hopefully, I'll be rotating them every-so-often.
The photos next to each Wisheart song tells you the singers performing on it. Although the songs say "Amy Wishart", they were written by Kevin and then we - Kimi and I - would "Wish-tart" them up.
Enjoy.
Later, after Kevin & I moved to L.A. in '96, I was in a band called Pure Resolve with Mickey Hannaway, Jim Vitale & Ed Gallegher. Venice Beach was recorded with them.
