Audacious Biography ---- 2007
Audacious is a Metal/Rock band from Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Founded in 2004 by the brothers Yordi and Damian Lopez.
Audacious features members from Holland, Chile and Spain and is all about playing heavy music with a "catchy" melodic feel to it.
Lyrics are sung in English and Spanish due to the hispanic roots the band has.
Audacious’ first studio effort saw light December 2005, a 4 track demo cd called “Slipping Awayâ€. They played a headline show in the Kade, Zaandam and where featured in Zaandams local newspaper.
The year 2006 marked the departure of lead singer Robert "DJ Smithee" van der Schild, but busy as Audacious is, they found their new front man in Elmer Klingen from former rock band "Alcatrash".
Audacious decided to team up with Daan v/d Elsken (Stilteloos Studios) again and recorded a 3 track promo simply called “Audac!ousâ€. They did a handful of shows (The Cave, Volta, Sugar Factory) leaving nobody unmoved in the audience.
The band is now focusing on their 3rd studio effort to be recorded April 2007, a 6 track EP, which will be released May or June 2007. After that, expect a full-on club tour through the Netherlands.
