Hey you! Yeh you. Sick of putting on music TV and seeing the same 7 artists play the same song over and over and over? Sick of listening to the radio and thinking 'it all sounds the fucking same!'. Sick of the music scene being about fashion more than passion these days? Yeh, us too. Turn off the TV, kill the radio, fuck the scene.
This is the end.
Dark Fusion are 4 guys from Scotland who play heavy FKN metal. Just like the good old days where rock 'n' roll was about drinking some Jag, spending some good times with your mates, rocking out some mental tunes and not caring about anything else. Forming in August 05 and laying waste to 2006 with gigs around Glasgow and their native Airdrie, as well as a blinding road trip to England, Dark Fusion have stepped up to the next level. It's game time. Take a listen to our music and believe that heavy metal is far from dead.
Made up of Liam Curran, rhythm guitarist & lead vox. A frontman with aggressively charged vocals and a pounding rhythm arm. Blows any pretentious bleeding-heart whiner out of the water. Can quote almost any Family Guy line from memory.
Bass guitarist and random noise, "Chrispy" McLaughlan. Discovered in a dingy pub in Airdrie playing air bass on a pool cue to AC/DC. Nobody knows just where he came from. Resident internet geek, self confessed slacker, lives for the atmosphere of a ragin' good gig.
Marc Curran on the drumkit. Destined for greatness. Has the track record for the drummer who can break the most cymbals, sticks, snares and walls in one sitting, and STILL sound good. The younger brother of Liam, you can tell that metal flows through this family's veins. Is never too far from his Sony PSP.
We're looking for a new lead/rhythm guitarist to join the legion and shred some faces. If you're in the Airdrie/Coatbridge/Glasgow area and you're interested, get in touch!
So grab a shot, guzzle it down & listen to some brain-bustin', gut-punchin', fist pumpin', horn throwin', head thrashin', blood boilin' heavy FKN metal.
Smoke em if ye got em!
Dark Fusion use the following:
Peavey International Series II drums and Zildjian cymbals, Ibanez bass & BC Rich guitars, EMG pickups, Morley, BOSS and Zoom FX, Planet Waves/Tailor Made cables, D'Addario and Ernie Ball strings, Peavey and Hartke amplification.
AND IN THEIRS...
"Dark Fusion are a headbanging act who know how to blast out a tune. With an incomparable lead guitarist who has the ability to be one of the greats. This band could go far. All band members have the ability to make the stage their own which had the crowd in an uproar." - Pharaoh's Rock Club 07/04/2006
"Dark Fusion have serious ability to go far from what I've seen and the potential they portray. I'm sure we'll be seeing alot more of these guys in the future." - Rockfest @ Attic Bar, 16/05/2006
"This Airdrie based band just maybe the best metal band around in their region by far at the moment. I was severely impressed by their outstanding performance; they have a very unique stage presence. Dark Fusion have all the qualities and potential to go on and do big things, and from the talent they've shown, that's exactly what there going to do." - Fiona McAuley, Dog Rawk Promotions, 28/04/2006
"You certainly deliver in your technical performance...you also obviously love what you do, and it shows - you are animated but still quite relaxed. A very good local band, not quite pro yet but definately getting there." - Podboy Promotions, The Vale, 17/09/2006
"Imagine Black Label Society meets Metallica meets Candlemass and what we had here tonight comes very close, a Dark Fusion indeed! They played their finest gig to date in my opinion, you would have thought this band had been playing for years rather than a few months they were so tight!" - The Friar (DJ), Sneaky's Rockgardens, 21/09/2006
"Dark Fusion - better than being fucked up the arse by a baldy midget!" - Shauna Gray, 19, Airdrie.
