"Time Doesn't Care" - Live @ the Knox Center, Dec. 2008.

PASIPHIK is Alex Jimenez & Mark Edgar, a guitar/conga acoustic duo from the San Francisco Bay Area.

PASIPHIK (formerly fLIPSIDE) was formed in 2001 because both Al and Mark were tired of playing other people's songs. So they started writing their own, and when they got tired of plugging and unplugging their instruments, they decided to go acoustic. Then they realized their songs sounded better that way, so they vowed never to return...

Both Al and Mark are veterans of the Bay Area music scene... they have played together in different projects over the years, mostly as the rhythm section - bass and drums respectively.

Al played bass with the likes of Street Pigeon, The Steve Fegan Experience, and Euphoric Disaster back in the early/mid 90's. He then went back to his roots and switched back to his guitar, forming the acoustic duet Ms.Quito with artist/performer Allison Hennessy, as well as performing as a solo artist. In 2001 he released a post-Ms.Quito EP of his own material entitled Songs About Love, Loss... and Money.

Mark has sit in, performed, and recorded with a variety of artists; he was the original drummer and co-founder of Primus. Other bands include Resin 7, Pure, Lotus Rush, Majestic Soul, & Tiare O Te Ao. His recordings include Resin 7's Mystified, Lotus Rush's Rosalie and the upcoming Free This World, Majestic Soul's Majestic Soul, Sherah Sleeper's Wish, and her new album scheduled for a fall release.

Currently PASIPHIK is working on their debut CD popculturesmoothie which is set for a 2009 release. Stay tuned for more info...
