CherriRoZe is an Urban Pop Rock girl group from Philadelphia. The trio is comprised of BeAnn, Shea and Tai who are talented entertainers and songwriters. The meaning of the name CherriRoZe is metaphoric to the trio’s personality and style of music. Cherries are fun, wild, and always on top; while roses are versatile and constantly blossoming. Currently the trio considers themselves as cherries who will eventually become roses who are sophisticated women.The three beauties came together by pure fate. Shea met BeAnn and her former group members in 2000. Noticing their similarities and love for music, Shea decided to join the R&B singing group. Meanwhile, their soon to become member, Tai, was on the other side of the Philly forming an R&B singing group of her own. Collectively the girls shared the same experiences such as: going to school, maintaining good grades, participating in extra curricular activities, working part-time jobs and dedicating themselves to their craft. That meant a batch of exertion for the girls, but with perseverance and devotion, each member kept their eyes on the prize of pursuing their dream as performers.Due to the ups and downs of girl groups, BeAnn, Shea, and Tai spent a short time as solo artists in which they tried out for several reality shows including Making the Band 3, American Idol Season 3 and Clash of the Choirs. Each experience taught these girls to stay on top of their game and to always be prepared for any opportunity that comes their way. The young ladies realized they loved singing in a group rather than being solo artist. BeAnn, and Shea met Tai through a mutual friend and formed CherriRoZe. The trio believes that being sisters first, keeping open communication at all times, and band mates second is what will separate them from other girl groups and will guarantee longevity in the music industry. The girls instantly shaped a bond and effortlessly began to make great music that would allow them the freedom to write about diverse topics and remain true to themselves.Heavily inspired by The Beastie Boys, TLC, Outkast, FeFe Dobson and Alanis Morrisette, CherriRoZe combined common characteristics and qualities of their influences and created a new species of music. Using a variety of live high energy instrumentation, subliminal lyrics, and utilizing what is usually considered a “mistake†as fun highlights of their songs. Edgy, vibrant and eclectic describes the sound of CherriRoZe. With songs like “Young N Hottâ€, “My Party†and “Hell Yeahâ€, CherriRoZe can definitely rock any party!
