I'll listen to pretty much anything at least once and being married to Yehudah I've heard a lot of stuff. My favorites include Bright Eyes, Damien Rice, Jenny Lewis, Ours, Sigur Ros, M. Ward, Neil Finn, Silverchair, The Faint and of course Pearl Jam, which was a prerequisite for marriage.

Books:
Sad to say the last book I read was The DaVinci Code, actually make that Belly Laughs. Since then it's been What to Expect When You're Expecting and numerous sites on pregnancy and babies.
