About Me

There once was a band named Rolodex. For most of it's life it consisted of the souls of Luke Kowand, Neil D'Souza, Myles Bancarz, Cael Schooler, Steven Formstone, Chris Keiver and a few guests that did some one time shows here and there. These people created a band that wrote songs for everyone that had an interest in the many generes that 'rock' could provide. Blues? Funk? straight up rock? Punk? Emo? it was all there...
Their song writing got a lot of credit, espeically from Billboard, with not one, but TWO top twenty finishes in the North American song writing competition. Everyone could find a song to tap their foot too, and a song to relate too. Often times critics claimed the songwriting was too smart with symbolism that could grasp only the people searching for an answer.
Then one day it died. The fall of the band happened slowly, over the course of a year, and they all went their seperate ways. Hearts were broken, promoters were disapointed, and festivals canceled...
After much thinking on the matter, and going stir crazy from all the ideas, Luke restarted Rolodex, but under his own flag.
ROLODEXunplugged Will be the first album released by Luke Kowand, due in the fall of 2008. Being written as a double album, it will be an all acoustic, all natural version of the Rolodex songs as they were written (afterall, all the rolodex songs were written on an acoustic). But reworked, and restructured and updated. It will be a mix of favs, all new tunes. Then there will be guests, from original Rolodex members, to new friends...this is something that will be special and intimate to all fans of Rolodex new and old.
Stay tuned for updates as they come!
