Bishop Shelton F. Wilson a native of Boston, Massachusetts received his strong Christian upbringing as a man of God only to elevate to an ordained elder and minstrel of the gospel. A household where living for God according to the word was taught and instilled in his life as a child.During his youth both his ministry in word and musical beginnings, teachings and mentoring stages began during his fellowship years at Holy Tabernacle Church Of God In Christ, Apostolic Inc. under the pastorate of the late Bishop Joe L. Smith, where he began playing the drums, keyboard, organ and developed strong desire in studying the word of God.In 1990 his father the then Elder Frederick J. Wilson answered the call to pastor and to birth Greater Faith Worship Center. Pastor Shelton F. Wilson followed his father and worked in every capacity in the ministry during his tenure at G.F.W.C. in efforts of kingdom building and to even grow and mature spiritually in his walk with Christ.During this time living a life of solitude in Nevada, he developed a closer relationship with God and found his purpose and that is to minister the gospel through word and music. In the month of September 2001 he accepted the call to preach the gospel under the leadership of Overseer Ron Thomas pastor of Reconciliation Apostolic Ministries in Las Vegas, Nevada. God has gifted him to operate in the office of preacher, evangelist and prophet also including the increased level as a minstrel. After a period of time Pastor Wilson obeyed God and made the decision of going back home to Massachusetts where his anointing and gift was birthed.He gives his credit to his impartation and mentoring of his ministry to Pastor/Bishop, Bishop Lincoln Wright, Pastor of New Mt Calvary Worship and Praise Ministries, where he served as Youth Pastor, Minister of Music.Currently a member of GMWA.,co-founded Chill Wil Music, and his debut CD album called “It’s Me Volume I†was released in August 2004, which he was nominated for the 2004 Tiffany Award for Best Male Gospel CD, and also for the 2007 Maestro Gospel Music Award for Best Gospel Male Performance. Also a co-visionary of C Sharp Foundation, a non profit organization geared towards the further advancement of a person’s life; both young and old. He was ordained an elder in October 2006 by Chief Apostle Christ’l Lawrence and currently serves on the Board of Elders for All Nations Ministerial Fellowship under her imparting and mentoring leadership.He's also worked with some of the best that Gospel Music has to offer. His gift in music has been shared with the likes of Rev.Timothy Wright, North Carolina Mass, Ted and Shari, Daryl Coley,Dorinda Clark-Cole, Twinkie Clark, Walt Whitman and the Soul Children of Chicago, Rev.James Moore, COGIC Int'l Mass Choir, Beverly Crawford, Kim Burrell. He's also produced the CD Project of Sam Young and Rate Righteous, due for release September 15God has saw fit to anoint, call, chose and elevate him to the office of Bishop where he currently serves on the General Board and 3rd Presiding Prelate of Alpha and Omega Int'l Assemblies under Chief Apostle/Presiding, Arch-Bishop Lee Davis. He holds a Doctorate in Philosophy of Theological Studies from Jackson-Davis Bible College and Seminary, and member of International Power in Faith College of Bishops,under Bishop William Harrell,Jr. and pastor of Sons of God International Ministry located in Schenectady,New York.
God has opened many doors of opportunity to minister both in preached word and music across the country. He also serves musically for various well-known artists, denominations, and various ministers of the gospel for their revivals and regular church services. His desire is to make an impact in the body of Christ by word and music as God gives him the spiritual insight and to be a soul winner for Christ.The youngest of two children born to Bishop F.J. and Pastor Ruth e. Wilson and is the father of Jessica,Brianna and Shelton II, godfather of 3 and a spiritual father and uncle to many. He credits his “push†and shares his ministry with the love of his life his darling wife Evangelist Shandolyn Wilson.
