She is of Panamanian, Peruvian, Jamaican and Irish descent.Amaris is a native of Los Angeles, California and has been singing, dancing and acting since the age of four. She is the youngest of four and was raised by a single mother who came to America from Panama on a scholarship as a Ballet dancer for the New York City Ballet. At age five after receiving her SAG card, she booked national commercials for Mattel, Coca Cola and Sears. She appeared on such shows as Kids Incorporated, Star Search, Family Matters, Step By Step, as well as Michael Jackson’s film “Moonwalker.†Amaris attended the High School for the Performing Arts at the Cal State L.A Campus where she studied acting, voice and musical theater. She continued to study her craft with teachers such as Ivana Chubbuck (Master Class), Milton Katselas (Beverly Hills Playhouse), Allen Miller (The Actors’ Studio) and John Swanbeck (Acting coach/Director of “The Big Kahuna†w/ Kevin Spacey).She continued to guest star on shows including Robbery Homicide Division (Michael Mann), The Shield, Crossing Jordan, Lions’ Den, CSI Miami and Dragnet. She starred in the First National Broadway tour of Footloose as Rusty/Wendy Jo and other musicals, playing the parts of Anita in Westside Story and Chiffon in Little Shop of Horrors. Amaris appeared in films You Got Served, Primary Colors and independent films such as The Things We Carry, Open Window and Knockout. Amaris Dupree was signed by both Giant and Arista Records as a recording artist. She’s worked on projects with artists Blu Cantrell, Black Eyed Peas, Jay-Z, Jon B, Omarion, Michael Jackson, and Dolly Parton to name a few. She is the featured singer on The Black Eyed Peas’ first hit single "Joints n Jams" for the platinum movie soundtrack Bulworth.Amaris and her new singing group 3DAZE have just finished the show MTV’s “Top Pop Group†which was viewed by over a million people nationwide. 3DAZE are currently working on their single to be released next year.Amaris is a talented, triple threat artist who is pursuing her dreams, with passion and fearlessness, working at what she loves and does best.
