About Me

Hi Im Alex, a 17 year old, self taught guitarist/musician from Norfolk, England. I started playing the guitar about 4 years ago and have been gigging with bands for the past years. One of my bands, the blues tubes, have been around for a decade, playing festivals to pub gigs to functions in and around the east coast. My new band, up the line, are now doing the same. Im trying to make connections with other musicians to form new bands and try and make it big. I realise Ive got a bit of learning still to do so any feedback on songs is appreciated.

My Gear: Ive been collecting rare blackface fender amps for a while, ranging from 50's champs, to modern day cyber deluxes, which i mainly use for recording. I also have several Marshalls and custom built Fargen amplifiers. Guitar wise i play Ibanez Jem's but have been known to play strats, telecasters and les pauls, depending on my mood.

Where do you start with this guy? Amazin. Excellent choice of notes and the way he plays them is unreal, not to mention his great producing of songs. My idol.

Steve Vai.
Again, what an amazing player, speed and soul wrapped into one man. A brilliant guitarist to learn technique from, and what a signature guitar he has!

Joe Satriani.
Like Vai, but even more melodic. Great songwriting ability.

ZZ Top.
That lil old band from texas sure know how to pump out some classic rock.

New Guitar New Album

I updated my acoustic guitar collection and felt obligated to write an acoustic album. Dark alleys is a draft idea for the style, dont really no wether it is a good tune or not.
