I'm Kind of a Big Deal.
My name is Mark Trollinger, Vanilla Heat, MDTGPS, T-dog, T Money (T$), Troll - whatever you want to call me. I am originally from a small town in Ohio called Yellow Springs. It is very small and very unique, but I think it instilled a sense of free-spirit adventure. I think it comes from drinking from the Springs in Glen Helen.
I lived 12 years in Atlanta and in addition to my regular job spent a few interesting years working part time for Barnes & Noble and the Atlanta Braves (there are a lot of crazy things that go on in a bookstore!).
My grandparents used to take me on vacations as a kid and I have enjoyed the open road ever since my first trip to Gatlinburg, TN. I had one hell of a time at Jamaica's Hedonism III back in 2001 with Hot 97.5 in Atlanta. That is where I became Vanilla Heat. I still love Red Stripe, Jerk Chicken and reggae. Not to mention the White Russians and Cuban cigars! I have managed to hit all 50 states, Canada, Jamaica, the Bahamas, Dominica, Puerto Rico, Antigua, St. Thomas and Barbados. I enjoyed the Northern Lights in Fairbanks and the clear waters of Antigua. Probably my favorite vacation spot was Banff & Lake Louise in Alberta, Canada.
I work in academic affairs and I am attending school; Last March I completed a MBA in Global Management, and in September I will complete my second Masters – this one in Criminal Justice. I am an ordained minister through the Universal Life Church Monastary, the former President of the American Marketing Association, a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon and Lambda Omicron Psi lil brothers at the University of Rio Grande and was the Captain of the baseball team during my senior year in high school. I also coached little league baseball for one year guiding them to a championship.
I love baseball and football, play in a highly competitive smack-talking, cut-throat fantasy football league and participate weekly in local 5K or 10K running events. If I am not doing that, I try to get out to the movies, travel or learn something new. I love music from all over the world (thanks to Barnes & Noble). My favorite TV Show is “Dancing with the Starsâ€. One day I would love to learn to paint. Being interested in international business, I would like to meet people from around the world. I am interested in Japanese culture, marketing, project management, collecting wine, running and travel.
