MINISTRIES Hosted By Yours Turly, D-WHITE on WVGB VICTORY 1490am in Beaufort, SC. You know that we got you if you're out of area by listening online @ www.mywvgb.com. Join me along with DJ JesusBeats and Sir-Viva Banging the best of Christian Hip Hop and Rhythm & Praise every Friday night from 6pm to 8pm eastern standard time. Our purpose is to expand the horizon in which the Gospel Of Christ is presented with hopes and encourage youth and adults alike to more than just lip service. We've put together a strong lineup of songs that are ministering and not just about beats. There will not be any Christian Hip Hop songs played that use secular tracks. (Gotta give Christ brand new, not anything recycled). You don't have to live in Beaufort or SC to call in on the request lines @ (843) 524-9742 or (843) 524-4700. If you would like to have your music possibly played on Friday Night Light, you can submit your song as an MP3 file to
[email protected] Keep in mind that any submittable of music will not be sold or distributed to anyone without the Artist's or Managers approval. Our show plays Christian Hip Hop, Rhythm & Praise, and Urban Gospel. There are some rules to submitting your music:
1. IF YOU SUBMIT MUSIC TO US FOR AIRPLAY, WE CANNOT PAY YOU ROYALTY FOR YOUR SONG, THIS IS IMPORTANT FOR ALL WHO DO WANT US TO PLAY THEIR MUSIC. WE ARE A WEEKLY RADIO SHOW AND ITS A BLESSING TO BE ABLE TO BRING CHRISTIAN RAP TO THE AIRWAVES IN OUR AREA. WE DO REPORT OUR PLAYLIST TO PROPER CHANNELS SO THAT THE ARTIST GETS EXPOSURE FOR THEIR SONG.
2. WE DO NOT SUPPORT VIOLENCE, DRUGS, ACOHOL, SEX, OR PROFANITY. YOUR MUSIC MUST BE MINISTRY MINDED AND GLORIFIES CHRIST. IF YOU SUBMIT OR REQUEST US TO HEAR A SONG THAT SUPPORTS THE FOLLOWING UP ABOVE WE WILL NOT RESPOND AND DELETE THE SONG.
3. NO SECULAR TRACKS, BEATS, OR INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC WILL BE PLAYED ON OUR SHOW. (EXAMPLE: NO RAPPING ABOUT CHRIST OVER A LIL WAYNE INSTRUMENTAL) WE HAVE ENOUGH PROBLEMS WITH THE SECULAR ARTISTS CORRUPTING THE YOUTH AS IS.
WE WANT TO PROMOTE BRAND NEW MINISTRY MUSIC TO OUR LISTENERS, NOT RECYCLED GARBAGE!
4. NO VULGAR OR OFFENSIVE LANGUAGE, SEXUAL CONTENT, NEGATIVE LYRICS WILL BE ACCEPTED.
5. NO TRADITIONAL GOSPEL MUSIC WILL BE PLAYED ON OUR SHOW. OUR HOST RADIO STATION IS A 24 HOUR GOSPEL STATION. OUR SHOW GLORIFIES CHRIST THROUGH CHRISTIAN RAP. YOU CAN STILL SUBMIT YOUR SONG AND WE WILL FORWARD IT TO THE STATION OWNER FOR AIRPLAY ON THEIR GOSPEL SHOWS.
6. TO MY CHRISTIAN RAP ARTISTS! IF YOU WANT YOUR SONG TO BE PLAYED, IT MUST AND I MEAN MUST GLORIFY CHRIST TO THE FULLEST IN YOUR LYRICS. I DON'T NEED POSITIVE MUSIC, I NEED MINISTRY MUSIC THAT CLEARLY LEADS OUR LISTENERS TO THE SCRIPTURES AFTER THE MUSIC STOPS.
ITS OK TO HAVE DOPE BEATS BUT WE'RE TRYING TO LEAD OUR YOUTH TO THE KINGDOM, NOT TO COMMON, TALIB QWELI, NAS, OR OTHERS SECULAR ARTISTS! SO STEP YOUR RAP LYRICS UP AND PRAY BEFORE YOU WRITE!
7. PLEASE ALLOW 2 WEEKS OR MORE AFTER SUBMITTING YOUR MUSIC SO WE CAN THOROUGHLY LISTEN TO YOUR MUSIC AND GIVE FEEDBACK TO WHETHER IT WILL OR WILL NOT BE PLAYED ON OUR WEEKLY SHOW.
