From Finland with Love

I should have understood how someone can love an inferior creature. Because I love you...in the way

About Me

My favorite phrase in the English language is "paradigm shift." This is ironic since I fear change.

My Interests

Video games (not nearly as much as a few years ago), Pretending to be a comedian (not nearly as much as a couple of years ago), Christmas

I'd like to meet:

Conan O'Brien (I wonder how long I had that typo there), Jim Gaffigan... AND YOU (I know it's cheesy, but I love it when movies/games put that in the end).Phoenix Wright and Apollo Justice

Music:

The Shins, The Postal Service, The Decemberists (circa Picaresque),Gorillaz, David Bowie, and others I think think I have a more complete list on facebook. I can't remember.

Movies:

I have a short attentiion span which makes the next category apply more to me. But I've also found some movies that I like. Kevin Smith movies are always good. I enjoy movies that straddle the line between comedy and drama. I think the "traditional" comedy films just don't have enough funny parts to them and their dramatic parts are simply horrid. I'm pretty certain that they wanted a simple answer here.

Television:

Scrubs, Cheers, Seinfeld, Arrested Development, Late Night with Conan O'Brien, The Simpsons (up to a certain point), South Park, Best Week Ever, short attention span...

Books:

Probably not my favorite, but I thought Beloved was a very good book. Add to that The Crying of Lot 49. Also, My Year of Meats. I have to say my L204 picked out some really good books.

Heroes:

Pale Force

My Blog

Sheep on the March

We're all sheep, so they say on the nightly news.  All too young, all too sex-starved, all too violent to be taken seriously, so I've been told.  We have no control over the images we seeth...

Optimism and Pessimism

When we are young, we are explained the difference of optimism through a simile.  The teacher (or parent or baby-sitter) tells us that an optimist sees a glass of water as half full whereas a pes...

Look at this. Look at this.

This is the book that the book store will not buy back because she decided to switch books on us.  However, mine is the 2007 (yes, 2007, no, I'm not sure how it works)  hardbound.  ...

Expectations, Perception, Reality

We all go through life making expectations of the future.  Some of us build these expectations up so high that nothing in life can ever meet our expectations.  I swear if tomor...
