I like Treasure hunting, feeding the ducks, turtles, and beavums at the park!!!, making stuffed animals, painting, being creative, reading if I ever had time, making friends, running into friends in strange places, buying costume jewelry, flower shopping, playing with make up, finding a new band to love, painting my toenails, meeting and being around amazing unpretentious creative people. And my new mommy hobbies include: randomly pointing at things and saying what color they are out loud, pasting Mondrian pictures everywhere the munchkins might notice, reading Shel Silverstein books, repeating the phrase "I love you, la la la love."
Meet MARVIN
I don't really like talking about music. I like music but just haven't found anyone to get really excited about in a while. Lately me and Miles have been listening to the essential Michael Jackson CD a lot. Always open to new things. My favorite Beatle was George Harrison.I like the Duffy, Ben Kweller, Flogging Molly, Midlake, Postal Service, Ratatat, Manu Chao, Ramones and Clash of course, Pre 1990 Prince, FOMA, Cindy Lauper was amazing even in 2001. Miles likes it when I sing the Sitting on the Dock of the Bay song, Anything that makes me happy.
This is pretty outdated but... JUNO, Amelie, Whalerider, In America, City of God, Pan's Labriynth, Mirrormask, I 3 Huckabees, Junebug, Asylum, Royal T's, Life Aquatic, Virgin Suicides,The Never Ending story, drop dead gorgous, falling down, death to smoochie, Rushmore, Bottle Rocket, lost in translation, smoke signals, anniversary party, star wars, office space, napolean dynamite, big fish, secretary, old school
The Office is my favorite show. I have to say that I might be slowly beginning to really hate TV though. I just don't know how I'm supposed to raise my son so that he's not a complete idiot and still let him watch tv. I will admit that my favorite show is America's Funniest Home Videos.
I only have time for school books now. I have art books galore. Sadly I haven't read an adult story book in a while. No more time. For now if it doesn't have pictures or pop ups, then its not on the schedule. Oh! But Miles and I read 4 to 5 books a night. Mainly Dr Seuss or Shel Silverstein. That's fun.
Miles. Brian. James. Mike. Kelly. Marci. Sara. My Mom. Yenisey. Manatees. Myself. and... maybe someone else I can't think of right now. I often feel like I am a manatee.
