"Eclectic" would be the best one-word description to describe myself - friends say I'm "quirky", nobody says boring! I enjoy music and the outdoors, put the two together and I'm in heaven! Types of music? Anything from Pink Floyd to Lyle Lovett - about the only music I don't get is Jazz, which sure irritates music snobs to no end! I work to live and take very little in life too seriously. Somewhat addicted to school and knowledge, can't seem to get enough . . . I value people that can broaden my horizons and expose me to new and different views. My philosophy is that life is like a long boat trip; you can ride it all the way or get off at every possible stop and experience all there is to enjoy - I choose the latter and have been blessed with an amazing journey!
I live in one of the greatest places on earth and own a home that backs up to about 50 acres of green space - it's not the house I love as much as the deck out back; whether it's playing with my Golden Retriever "Libby" (the greatest dog ever created) or listening to the stereo and enjoying nature with friends, it's one of my favorite places to be. I play a silly game called Disc Golf and, though I generally suck, love the game and the people I play it with. Given the time, you'll find me either on the course, camping, attending music festivals around the country (and at Burning Man each year)or doing anything on the water from diving to rafting.
I've been blessed with the greatest daughter possible, she's currently finishing her college days at Texas State. Her twin brothers (since I'm divorced from their mother, do I call them "former" stepsons???) are also amazing young men and I'm proud of them - their mother did a great job in raising all of them!
