Breaking Barriers Ministry was birthed from a casual conversation between two of the founders of the ministry. After discussing the latest news of Marion, God placed a sense of urgency within the founders--an urgency to do something to help change the ways of young people within the town. Not only did they see that the young people of Marion needed more events geared toward them, but that they also need JESUS! This led to Breaking Barriers' first event--Realizing S.I.N.: Salvation Is Necessary. At the event young people from all walks of life and faith gathered to worship God through song, dance, rap, and poetry. This night marked the beginning of a movement that will glorify God through the sharing of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
