You can call me Thunder, Thunder McGlocklan!

About Me

I share the same name as my father, grandfather, and great grandfather. I'm Irish on my mothers side, Scottish on my fathers. I have been a member of a Lutheran, Baptist, Methodist, Presbyterian, Non-Denominational, and Unitarian Universalist church (but not at the same time). I hate cigarettes, but don't mind cloves. I refuse to live with regrets. I prefer swords to guns. I have a healthy fascination with Asian culture, British history, and Canadian sports. I believe that anything can be interesting if it's explained by the right person. I love to read, but don't do it enough. I love to write, but don't do it enough. I love to play guitar, but don't do it enough. I've tried to stop drinking Coke many times, but keep going back for more. Jack and Coke is my favorite alcoholic drink. My favorite food is cinnamon toast. One time I sneezed while eating spaghetti and a noodle came out my nose. I seek the positive in people unless I want to date them, in which case I try to find reasons why I shouldn't. I've broken both of my middle fingers, one playing football, one playing soccer. I miss my hair. I'm slowly learning Japanese (Nihongo ga skoshi hanashimasu). I'm overly optimistic. The next goal on my list is to go skydiving. I hate showing emotional pain. I love being helpful to friends dealing with emotional pain. I have played an entire song on a tuba. I have no idea what I want to be when I grow up. I love Netflix. I love dogs. I don't mind cats as long as they act like dogs. I hate birds-even when they act like dogs. I've never seen a bird act like a dog. I don't like the fact that cursing has become normal. I'm done writing about myself for now.

Florida, part deux

Well, my vacation is sadly coming to a close, but I've had a great time! After the golf outing was cancelled, I went bowling with my friend Mooney (and beat him four straight games haha!!). That night...

Live, from Sunny Florida!

Well, I'm at about the halfway point of my vacation, and finally have a few spare minutes to sit at a computer, so I figured I'd give a mid-vacation update. The trip started in normal vacation fashion...

A prayer for warmth

Ok, so we all know that I love the cold! However, this is a flawed fact. See, I only like the cold if I'm prepared for it! Case in point, it's Saturday night, and I'm getting ready to close the store ...

Funny Story

So our toilet stopped working the other day, and it took WAY too long for the plumber to actually get here to fix it (yet another New York experience I suppose). Fortunately he was here today and the ...

Boston

You know how sometimes you don't know how much you need something, and then you finally get it and wonder how you've survived without it? I had a similar experience last week. After meaning to visit B...

Thank God!!

Well, the strike is over! I think I owe the city of New York an apology, as I'm pretty sure this has all been my fault. I have a history of having transportation issues whenever I move to a new place,...

Stay away from the empty train!!

Well, I saw Chronicles of Narnia today. I'd been looking forward to this one, as this was pretty much my "Harry Potter". I remember reading the books when I was in school, and I actually enjoyed readi...
