KEAHIWAI

About Me

MAHALO MAUI & HILO!!
Just wanted to send a huge mahalo out to the islands of Maui and Hawaii for one of the best Saturdays we've had in a long time! Thanks to Keri & KPOA for inviting us to the Maui County Fair and to KWXX for having us at the Hilo Ho'olaule'a.

Props to Mailani for slamming out four hot performances in one day. Hopefully most of y'all on da Big Island caught the Mighty J set at the Ho'olaule'a or at da after party at Uncle Mikey's. We always love island hopping and appreciate everyone coming out to support local music. And to all our fellow musicians ... you guys rocked it out ... always nice to see you guys. Aloha.

Influences: we have been influenced by so many different types of music. growing up, we naturally listened to whatever our parents listened to from traditional hawaiian to rock n roll. basically we appreciate the art of music - no matter what shape or form it comes in.
Sounds Like: hmmm....we think we sound like keahiwai but some think we sound like na leo pilimehana - it's probably just because we're girls. the sound of our music could be compared to a "pure heart" kind of style (via jon yamasato's influence). however, we think we've created a niche for ourselves with our own 'sound' & it keeps growing over the years. hope you like it!
