Coe Perry was raised in rural west Texas and currently lives in East Texas. He is HAPPILY married, with eight children, and he is not Mormon or Catholic (those are the first two questions people always ask when they hear he has eight kids ;-) (p.s. he has nothing
against mormons or catholics )). He spent ten years in law enforcement before going back to school to get his accounting degree, and is currently a government auditor.
Coe comes from a very musical family, but was a little slow getting started. He didn't learn to play guitar until he was in high school, but he started writing songs in his Junior year, mostly in the Christian Rock genre, a reflection of his lifelong faith and desire to minister to others through the powerful medium of song.
Coe started this page to introduce his latest set of songs, along with some he's cherished for some time, but would like a signed artist to record. All of what appears here has been recorded at home on a digital eight-track recorder, and all but one are sans additional backing instruments, ie. drums and bass. Most are in pretty raw form, just a guitar and voice, both with overdubbing to best present the original vision for each song.
Coe's desire is for the music to be heard! He believes that the best way to do that is to get them in the hands of a record producer who will match them with a currently signed artist to share them with the world.
