Scott Sanford

About Me

scott sanford is a nashville wanna-be born in louisiana, yet too far away from the gulf of mexico to be considered a true cajun. scott began playing music at 4 years old, showing interest in the piano at bay springs baptist church, located ironically in chopin, louisiana. his mother, beverly, helped to encourage his musical ability and bought him his own upright piano on easter sunday, 1981. It also didn't hurt that his father was a piano salesman. Scott didn't pick up a guitar until he was 14 years old, but soon showed everyone that the piano was just a stepping stone.scott has always had a vision to see how songs could be interpreted if left only to the listener to decide. what began as "acoustix", a collection of acoustic guitar songs for an album fit to play during one's dreamlife, has now evolved into a moving wide awake exploration for scott. since his triumphant move to nashville (according to his louisiana native family), he has shared venues with up and coming acts like CJ Watson, Erick Sims, The Animators, Ashby Blair, Lisa Shaffer, and Camille Wallin.in 2002 scott set up camp in nashville and began playing in venues there several times weekly, including the world famous Bluebird Cafe. (check local listings) he is constantly playing his music this summer and is moving to make the album scott once only dreamed of making.

SAD NEWS FROM THE ROW

So there I was... sitting at BMI in the office of Perry Howard when he informed me of the next big idea that the RIAA has up it's sleeve.  Seems that since the recording industry has been on such...
