In the year 1995 Blackthorn & Swornghoul meet at a local metal shop. After discussing their hatred and contempt for the so called "metal scene" in their area, they begin to plan world conquest. After searching for months for a suitable third commando to assist them, Swornghoul introduces Lord Necron to Blackthorn. The unholy trinity of Thornspawn is now assembled with the arrival of Ashtaroth who takes Vocal duties. 1996 Thornspawn unleashes its first assault to the local support *(which was not many) with their demo "The Dacian Empire". Soon after the release, Ashtaroth leaves Thornspawn.
After Thornspawn can not find a vocalist with the pressence to uphold the warfront. Blackthorn is bestowed the infernal duties of both Jaws of Satan and Nuclear Hammers. 1997 witnesses the hellbirth of their second demo "Consecration Of Evil Flesh" which is embraced by the world masses. Magus Obliterator joins Thornspawn to assist in bass duties, but soon after leaves to begin his own regiment under the name of GNOSTIC. For live purposes Gothmog (session bass) joins the ranks of Thornspawn, but falls in battle.
1999 Thornspawn achieves a great pinacle moment in their devilish propaganda with the release of their first 7" on Profanation Records. "Infernal Legions" is released to only 500 copies and is now sought out by many vinyl collectors. Bolverk/Bjorn Haga of Kult Horde NECROVORE joins Thornspawn on bass for this release.
2000 Baphomet Rex (owned by label boss Killjoy of Necrophagia fame) & the now defunct label Necropolis Records offers a contract to Thornspawn. Their first full length "Blood of the Holy, Taint Thy Steel...."is released on Cd version in the U.S. Later it is licensed to Hammerheart Records for European distribution on Cd format. In the same year Death To Mankind Records (Spain) approach Blackthorn to release "Blood of the Holy..." on Lp format to only 666 copies.
2001"Empress from the Realms of Blasphemy" Mcd is released to only 1000 copies by Baphomet Rex. At this point with the lack of communication between label and Thornspawn Blackthorn decides to end their union. Bolverk decides to end his unholy crusade with Thornspawn, HellBeast is summoned to join the darkforce of Thornspawn.
In 2002 the legendary and now defunct label/zine Hellflame Productions (Italy) unite both Thornspawn and Hellenic Titans Unholy Archangel to unleash a now legendary live LP split limited to 500 copies.
After finding news that Thornspawn has ended their alliance with Baphomet Records. Osmose Productions (France) offer Thornspawn a contract to release their next assault upon mankind. 2002 "Wrath of War" is released on both Cd and Lp format. Soon after Thornspawn is cursed again with the lack of dedication from label support and ends their contract with Osmose Prod.The same year HellBeast falls in battle........
2004 Thornspawn gathers their first 2 demos "The Dacian Empire" & "Consecration of Evil Flesh" and decides to release these obscure demos in the highest of honors (500 copies) LP Format "First Possession-Infernal Allegiance".A(Jew)gonia Records (Poland) approaches Thornspawn with this offer as well as in the same year releases their tribute "Horns to the Kult" for 2 great influences of Thornspawn (Beherit "Hail Sathanas/Necrovore "Divus De Mortuss) on 7" limited to 666 copies.
2005 Hellspike Records (Brazil) in collaboration with Alastor Rex (Brazil) release on pro cover/pro tape format "Altars of the Perversed Flesh-Live Desecration" limited to 300 copies. It is sold out with in weeks....in the same year Necroinferno from Gnostic War Ranks assists Thornspawn in a Mini Tour of Mexico. Upon their return, they hire him as their new Bassist.
2006 HEllAttacks Prod (Colombia) offers to re-release "Blood of the Holy, Taint Thy Steel..." on inverted cross digi pac w/patch (333 copies) & regular cd. Necroinferno re-records the entire bass tracks to give a newer dimension to this ancient opus. At the same time Blackthorn & HellAttacks Prod
decided to release the "First Possession-Infernal Allegiance" on digi pac w/poster (333 copies) & regular cd version
2007 Thornspawn is approached by Enshadowed to release a split digi pac/Lp. "6Black Candles,6Rotting Hearts,6Sacrifices fo Satan" is released thru Z(jew)yklon-B Prod. (HEllas).It is released successfuly, but with deception and rip off attitude they never receive their end of the agreement by label.
2007 To finalize and remove the parasite known as Jewgonia Rex. THornspawn delivers a rushed version of "Sanctified By Satans Blood". This is only released on Cd format, and is never released on Lp as agreed in the contract. Plagued once again with the unprofessionalim and incompetence of labels, they decided that this is the only solution to end the threats of law suit by a cowardly label boss.The same year after 12yrs of Temple Crushing, Blasphemous Fury Lord Necron decides to part ways with Thornspawn (Be Hailed!)
2008 GasMask Productions (France) accepts the challenge to release the proper version of this release on LP (500 copies) 100 Black-Red Splatter Vinyl.Thornspawn decides to re-record the entire album + include another Necrovore song "Mutilated Death" that was never used for a tribute release.It also includes proper art/layout by Occult Artist Jon Zig (Austin,Tx)
2008 Desastrious Records (USA) after many years of support for Thornspawns Propaganda offers Thornspawn a release of this re-recorded version with the proper layout. 100 copies on Dvd case (w/patch,poster,button,sticker) and that also includes a (DVD) Live Visual Assault at the 2007 Desastrious Festival. 1000 copies on regular jewel case as also released at the "Sacrifice of the Nazarene Child-9Th Black Metal Fest" in Satantonio Texxxas. Necroinferno decides to step down from bass duties for personal reasons.
2009 After 13yrs of Unholy Allegiance to the Dark Swornghoul decides to step down for personal reasons. We hail him and wish him the best in all his musical endeavors.
2009 Svartmort joins Thornspawn as new Guitarist. His Dark Oath to join Thornspawn is to assist in the "Sangre De La Bestia Mexica Tour".Currently Thornspawn has returned to its rawest form, back to the begining of 13yrs of Blasphemy.By no means has the Genocide Weaponry known as Thornspawn ended, it has simply grown stronger in hatred, vengeance, and the systematic annhilation of the christian & muslim plague.We scorn and hold in contempt all rumor mongers, and only wish to strangle your pathetic lifes with 13 more years of Hatred!
