To Make a Very, Very, Very Long Story Short....
Like countless other newly established writers seeking to keep a toe in the proverbial door, I'm just here to I do whatever I can, given my resources, to increase the likelihood of gaining industry exposure for my work. I am a screenwriter and novelist with a dozen (and counting) full-length, finished works under my belt. I seek only the chance to prove that I have something unique and valuable to contribute to the industry.
I hold no illusions of finding fame or fortune; I'm a humble person and overall I'm quite happy with my humble life ... but I do know that I write quality work, and it's only a matter of time before I find my niche. I just recently made my first couple of sales, short stories slightly outside my typical genre; I've had a lot of fun working on them, just the same ... and it's a start. I also just finished writing a work for hire feature adaptation of an award-winning novella, which, if all goes well, will go into production next year. My thanks to both Lori Perkins and Ed Cisneros, for cracking open the door and giving me my first small tastes of success.
Three of my screenplays are based on my novels, my ability to adapt formats being one of my many assets. I believe my vast experience in writing in both formats, as different as the two may be, has helped me to craft my sense of pacing, depth, and my understanding of "the Art of Showing." I also happen to be a compulsive writer, no exaggeration, which truly is both a gift and a curse.
