.. Hailing from the streets of EAST ATLANTA, the rap group M.C.G was founded by 3 very close friends. "D.O.A" (DECATUR - BOULDERCREST/ELLENWOOD AREA), "MOE" (STN. MOUND - DECATUR - LITHONIA/MARBUT RD.) and "PLAYBOI A.K.A. MISTAH MANE" (DECATUR/EASTLAKE/2ND AVE. - STN. MOUND).Living in a city of music, Starting off rapping and making beats at an early age for as long as they can remember.. they always knew that their individual rapping styles and crunk yet laid-back technique with beats was unique with a little twist, unlike any other. "PLAYBOI" and his older cousin "MOE", as well as their childhood/long tyme friend "D.O.A" didnt only make beats.. but were artists as well; and thought of the name [M.C.G] (MONSTA CLIQUE G'Z). What started off as playing around and doing it for fun.. turned into an idea of making a group. In the midst of all of this, "D.O.A" and "PLAYBOI" had other childhood friends who they had been rapping with also for years.. almost like blood brothers: "BUC" (STN. MOUND - DECATUR/GLENWOOD - LITHONIA) and "SLIM" (DECATUR/GLENWOOD/CANDLER RD. - LITHONIA). "SLIM" and "D.O.A" hav known each other since middle thru high school; attending Chapel Hill Middle & SouthWest Dekalb High together. They parted ways during High School yrs., with "SLIM" being shiped off to Military School. The same for "BUC" and "PLAYBOI"; being that they both attended Salem and Miller Grove Middle together and stayed in the same Stn. Mound neighborhood of Hidden Pointe. Also known as (HP). They too parted ways after middle school, but none of the 4 NEVA lost touch.One day when all 5 friends met up together at the studio; which was provided, funded and built frm the ground up as a 'added wing', by "MOE" at his home at the time in Stn. Mound's MAINSTREET; reunited.. and made it all happen with ENDLESS recording sessions night in and night out. With the ball rolling.. and [M.C.G] FLOODING the streets and internet with their own unique personalities and (E.A.) EAST ATLANTA swagg; they decided to expand their squad a little more by bringing in 3 people, whom they KNEW swagg and lyrical style would go good; mesh and bring out ALL their true abilities: LEON "CITY BWOI" SARGENT (LITHONIA) - Whom is BUC'S older cousin; "GUTTA BWOI" B.K.A.
