Reapa Records was formed in 2005 by Jim Cleere aka DJ Reapa to cater for good Tech & Jump Up DnB. The label was mainly started, because Jim had become frustrated with the amount of unsigned artists, including his friends, that weren’t getting a chance to showcase their music onto vinyl.
After sitting down and collecting various tracks to send to distributors, 2 tracks were accepted as Reapa Records first release. These 2 tracks were from an unsigned artist called G.P.K, with a remix from Bad Ace Inc, one of Jims’ friends. The release was G.P.K. – Vector Sigma/Percocet Nightmare (B.A.I. rmx) and received huge support from the likes of Dieselboy, Subfocus & Spor.
Over the 3 years, Reapa Records has released tracks from G.P.K, Bad Ace Inc & Diode but has called upon big producers to remix tracks, such as D. Wolf, T. Snake and Muffler but continues to carry on with its philosophy of releasing great music from unsigned talent and this has again been shown with the new signing, in 2008, of REDCO, a talented producer who comes from Ukraine.
