A product of Columbus Ohio: Ravis D has been in the lab perfecting his craft for over ten years. After releasing his first album (Element-ary Rap, 2006), which sold 5,000 copies, Ravis D has been working consistently towards establishing himself as a producer. In his brief tenure, he has created a unique sound that embodies the new-school soul of Ohio along with a west-coast twist. Booming bass lines, strings, and synthesizers are the primary instruments in a standard Ravis D-Lux production. To date, Ravis D has produced over 50 tracks for local and regional artists, including hip-hop, R&B, and neo-soul genres.
As the composition of his second studio album (Rays Boom Boom Room, 2008) comes to a close, Ravis D has been focused on promoting his product to a national audience. The new single ‘Bad Mutha Fucka’ has created a major buzz among the collegiate market as well as ‘Im Chose’ and ‘Let’s go Girl’ which also have billboard chart potential. Since his first album, Ravis has not only matured lyrically, but also in the delivery of his music and performances.
Ravis D can dedicate the rapid improvement of his musical talents to the grand opening of his state-of-the-art studio, Raydio Ready Recording Studios LLC, est. 2007. In process of completing his degree in Music Business at Hocking Technical College, Ravis D has become a prolific recording and mixing engineer. His business savvy work ethic has not only made Raydio Ready a successful recording studio, but has also enabled him to produce music, promote performances, and manage other artists.
