About Me

Myspace Layout GeneratorSince forming in 2002, Ginger Hustlers have developed into musical and lyrical alchemists weaving together powerful, avante - garde, psychedelic rock with cryptic narratives that may as well be set in a ghost town somewhere in the Nevada desert. "Epic" and "Encyclopedic" are terms commonly used to describe the lush expanse of words and music the band creates by blending rich boy / girl harmonies, acoustic and electric guitars, thick organ, piano, bass and drums. Combining a non traditional song crafting approach with elements of rock, psychedelia, and even goth, has yielded a sound that is familiar and approachable, yet foreign and undefined. Ginger Hustlers' music has drawn vague comparisons to artists like, Built to Spill, Pink Floyd, The Velvet Underground, and Galaxie 500 to name a few. However, the group's genre - bending sound ultimately exists well outside established scenes and common musical descriptions. Well honed, yet ever evolving and explorational, the band's live performances are intensely dynamic experiences that elicit pure emotion from their listeners. In September 2004 the band released "Pulse", a self - produced 5 song EP that garnered regional air play and showcased the bands keen sense for song crafting and studio production. In early 2006, after some personnel adjustments, work began on arranging and recording their follow up, full length album that more clearly defines their current musical direction and artistic vision. After much anticipation and attention to detail, "Nursery Rhymes for the Apocalypse" was completed in the Spring of 2007. Release date is set for June 30th."Ginger Hustlers truly sound like no one else, a product of a wide array of influences, the band creates its sound without ever sounding like theft has taken place." ~ Andrew Bunnell, Oregon Music Guide For more info and music visit the bands website: GINGERHUSTLERS.COMWave Goodbye ~~ Live

Sounds Like: Ginger Hustlers are from...Death Valley? ... Trinity Site, White Sands, New Mexico? ... John Huston's "The Misfits"? ... maybe even perhaps Alejandro Jodorowsky's "El Topo." Theirs is a lush, nuclear desparado sound accompanied with cryptic narratives that absorb rather than bewilder and suggest alienated souls seeking purity in wastelands.Ginger Hustlers ~ Nightmerika
