About Me

After graduating from Harper College guitarist/singer/songwriter Johnny Monaco moved to Hollywood, Ca where he attended and graduated from Musicians Institute studying with many guitar greats including Paul Gilbert, Frank Gambale, Scott Henderson, Joe Diorio, Don Mock, Les Wise and others. Shortly after Johnny was asked to join pop rockers Enuff Z’nuff as lead guitarist and eventually lead singer for the band. Over the past twelve years Johnny has toured extensively throughout the US, Europe & Japan. Johnny has also been very successful in the creative world of the pop-jingle business with TV/Radio clients including Coors, Budweiser, Michelob, L&M, Pall Mall, Army, KFC, Ivory, Jeep, Ford, Dodge & Nintendo and has appeared in many publications including Guitar World, Guitar Player, Young Guitar, Burn, Metal Edge, Classic Rock, Spin and Rolling Stone Magazine. Recently Johnny was also featured on the pilot taping for the VH1 TV reality show "Bands On The Run". When not on the road, Johnny returns to his home town of Chicago where he relentlessly writes, records and performs. After leaving Enuff Z'nuff in 2008 Johnny continues to front his own pop band and in 2007 released his debut solo CD, "Overrated" to rave reviews. Today Johnny regularly performs his solo material as well as local performances with his newest smash hit/all cover band Trash Martini. Johnny’s first all-instrumental guitar CD, "Kung-Fu You", is scheduled for a 2009 release.
