On November 2nd, Oregon voters will be asked to amend the Oregon Constitution to maintain, clarify and uphold the definition and standard for marriage that has existed since the inception of humankind.
The issue is clear. People are free to live the life they’ve chosen -- Just don’t call it marriage.
While we care for the gay and lesbian community in the state of Oregon and know there’s a whole lot more we can do to foster better relationship, voting 'no' is not the way for us to show we care.
This ballot measure is not about outlawing gays couples or about discrimination in any way; it is about keeping Oregon law the same as it has been.
