I guess....................................................... ...................................................His friends would tell you Darrell Loden is an old soul with a working mans' hands. Born in Southern Alabama and growing up in central Florida, the son of a soldier who repaired cars and a mother who worked the sewing mills, life was simple and hard, saved by the sunshine and ocean... His music and lyrics can bleed with honesty in the language of the American Southland. His songs are melodic and complete with a moving story in between. living in Nashville many years among the songwrting and music scene proved this writer/performer unique in a most tasteful expression of honesty and soul.... the world turned and life goes on.... In the words of a dear friend, This songwriter Phoenix has risen from the ashes... Darrell moved on in the spring of 2006 to New Orleans in the rebuilding of the great city in the ruins of Hurricane Katrina. Living in New Orleans was a blessing in disguise and the perfect place to hang out with those old jazz men in red clay shoes and tarnished horns playing like they live out loud... Darrell moved again to Galveston Texas in the spring of 2009, Some time by the ocean and a move to Austin in the near future is pretty much going as planned... Aint Life Grand!!!
