I live in Gonzales, Texas which is known as the "Lexington of Texas". Our little town is where the first shot of the Texas Revolution was fired! I love to read, take pictures & listen to music- I have found so many new (some of which were only new to me!) extraordinary & talented bands on Myspace! I enjoy watching movies, though I don't get to the theater as much as I would like. My entire family {female members only!} try to make it to "The Majestic" Theatre in San Antonio at least once a year to see a live play or musical. I have one daughter, who also has one daughter (just over 1 year old) and yes, that makes me a grandma!! A very proud Grandma!
I was born on Halloween, and have loved all things scary since then. The first TV show I remember watching every day was "Dark Shadows". I was 3 or 4 years old & was totally addicted to it! I would watch every vampire, werewolf, mummy or zombie movie that came on & I still do. I have also had my nose stuck in a book as much as posible since I first learned to read. I adore all the classic authors such as Shakespeare, Jane Austen, Dante, Mark Twain, Dickens, Chaucer, Steinbeck, Alcott, Homer, London, both Brontes and on and on..... Two of my favorite reads are "Beowulf" and "Epic of Gilgamesh". I enjoyed every Michael Crichton novel and I have read them all! I like Cormac McCarthy, Shephen King, Clive Barker & many others too numerous to list! I also like to read about history, Greek & Roman mythology, and all other cultural mythology, and of course paranormal & sci-fi! Well,I guess it is safe to say that I just LOVE to read! Lets see, personal beliefs...I believe in uncondtional love, in Karma- what goes around comes around, & in the golden rule- do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Harm no one, lest it come back to you threefold! I belive a person should always consider carefully the things they say, before they say them. What takes a moment to say in anger, can take the person on the receiving end of the comment a lifetime to recover from!
I know this is true, because I have been verbally abused by loved ones & the hurt can be extremely hard to shake off!
