The Widow Capet

About Me

Marie Antoinette's royal family was re-styled to the non-royal Capets after the monarchy had officially ended after the French Revolution, and she was called "The Widow Capet" after her husband King Louis was executed at the guillotine. We thought of using the name for the band after having written four songs about the beheading of Marie Antoinette, and then figured that it would be near impossible to write an entire record about it. We've decided to start from scratch again regarding the material, and we're looking for other members to collaborate with in the making of something completely organic but without losing the indie rock sound.
