Manic Monkee management came out of the fact that my other day job I work with a lot of musicians. I have so many offers to manage bands that one day I decided to do it. My other job has allowed me to make so many connections with industry people that can help take a band to the next level I decided to utilize my connections and help artists I believe have a great sound and believe in themselves.

As a manager for artists, I believe in artist devolpment. Manic Monkee works with several different radio and publicity companies including Powderfinger promotions who's clients include 311, Cake, Michelle Shocked, Liquid String Cheese Incident, among many others and Tinderbox Music who's clients include Apollo Sunshine, Nightmare Of You, The Bad Plus, Halloween Alaska, Margot And The Nuclear So And So's. The Cringe John Cusimano - vocals, guitar John lives in NYC and grew up listening to Hüsker Dü, The Ramones, Television, Sex Pistols, The Beatles, Coltrane, Bird, and too many others to list here.Around a year ago, John met Rob while they were working at the same job in NYC. John had a handful of songs and Rob played lead guitar. John ran an ad in the Village Voice for a bass player and met Matt. Matt, Rob and John jammed and it sounded good. Matt, Rob and John met Shawn, who also happened to be the best drummer in NYC. More songs were written, lots of gigs were played and an album was recorded (at Electric Lady Studios) with a really awesome engineer named Steve. In addition to singing for The Cringe, he plays drums and keyboards in three other side projects with Matt.James Rotondi - lead guitar Cringe guitarist James "Roto" Rotondi brings a combination of retro-inspired tones and forward-thinking lead playing to the band's own mixture of the classic and the cutting-edge. Roto's impressive pedigree includes tours and recordings with Mike Patton's Mr. Bungle, French electro stars Air, trip-hop pioneers the Grassy Knoll, as well as collaborations, sessions and gigs with Santana's Michael Shrieve, horn gods Tower of Power, sax iconoclast Skerik (Critters Buggin) and pop legend Jason Falkner. An accomplished singer and keyboardist, Roto has also played, sang and co-composed on over 200 TV commercials, from Olympus to Lexus to Spagettios. His new solo EP, "The MiniLove EP," will be released digitally and on CD this July (myspace.com/rotovybe) and he continues to work on film music with his instrumental project, Jettatura (myspace.com/jettaturatheband).Matt Powers - bass I've always known that I was going to be in music. I wore out my Who tape (the Best of I think) when I was 6, but I wasn't allowed to play guitar until I was 13. Later, I found myself playing bass more and more. I met John two years ago following up an ad in the Village Voice and after one session jamming together I was 'in.'Since then, John has been jamming with me in and out of several projects. He played drums in my early solo shows. My last project, 'Whether Music', featuring my wife Adriana Powers on bass and Bill Motzing on drums has ended but you can still check it out here: www.whethermusic.com or www.myspace.com/whether1.My latest solo project, Matt Powers "Never Ending Aftermath" is set to be released mid-july on itunes, amazon.com, and cdbaby.com. I'll have cds on my solo tour. For more info check out: www.myspace.com/mattpowers2.Shawn Pelton - drums When he's not doing his thing for the Cringe, Shawn plays with the Saturday Night Live Band, Sheryl Crow and Rod Stewart.

God-Des and She
years of writing, recording and touring the United States & Europe together, God-des & She has morphed into an Intercontinental phenomenon! They got their first big break when they made their television debut on the Season 3 finale of Showtime’s hit series “The L Word” and they haven’t looked back since! That performance of their infamous hit song “Lick It” served as a launch pad for all of the amazing things that would follow. From a critically acclaimed drama series to music videos, God-des & She’s “Love You Better” broke records on MTV’s Logo network holding the 1 most requested spot on the charts for 15 weeks straight! But this was only the beginning; this dynamic duo went on to film and star in two documentaries which continue to still be aired on MTV’s Logo channel as well. As God-des & She were continuing to tour and record new music, they were offered a major label single contract with Sony Music Entertainment’s imprint label “Music With a Twist”. In late 2006, they signed on the dotted line and joined the likes of the Gossip, Levi Kreiss, Tangela Bell and many other notable recording artists on the “Music With a Twist: Revolutions” CD.In addition to touring worldwide, God-des & She spent the majority of 2007 perfecting their newest full length album “Stand Up”, which was officially released on July 1st, 2008. And who better to distribute this collection of infectious beats and catchy lyrics but The Orchard, the world’s leading distributor of digital music. That’s right, God-des & She went viral in July, after signing a 3 year distribution deal with this music label giant! Their entire catalog of music is available worldwide on iTunes, Yahoo, Rhapsody, and Amazon just to name a few, and is available by way of single and full album downloads, as well as mobile products and digital videos too! The signing of this monster deal coupled with the release of their new album has begun to generate an enormous industry buzz, and has caught the attention in particular of some major music publications. Their sophomore album “Stand Up” is already receiving rave reviews in both Billboard and NEXT magazines, featured below. This buzz has spilled over from print to TV once again, as God-des & She have been recently nominated by MTV for their first music award!! The nomination comes by way of the “Brink Of Fame: Music Artist” award where they faced off against bands like The Cliks on Logo’s 1st ever “New, Now, Next Awards." With having already achieved an abundance of what were at one time considered to be inconceivable accomplishments, God-des & She have set the bar extremely high for themselves. Currently going into the studio with Brian Hardgroove(Public Enemy, Wu Tang, Aerosmith, Slash) to record their new record, 2009 promises to be big.
