About Me

..

I’m abled not disabled!

Hello MySpaces visitors and friends, what can I say about me?

I’m the mellow type of a fellow that enjoy people and life. I’ve learned year’s ago, never take life for granted; So I say to you I treat life and people as I would want it/them to do unto me. Example: respect, empathy, kindness and up most love.

Now I’ve said all that to say, life waits for no one. So no matter what happens or what situation arises in your life you may want to, step back count to a hundred or even beat a pillow or two just to get that second thought. Life is truly what you can make out of it, while you’re living. So PLS enjoying it.

By trade and post high school I am an Computer Network Administrator. By heart and soul I am an advocate for people with disabilities and seniors. I also truly believe that our Healthcare providers need an increase in there wages and added benefits.

I’m a positive inspired person looking to open a Digital Solutions Office & Game Center soon near you.

Hey? keep your head up….! I know I am!

Lets Standup and Fight for Our Seniors and Our Disabled!

Digital Solutions

Do you know what happens when you enter in a nursing home? You lose all dignity or if you’re like me you lose your dignity and your independence. Independence can come in several forms, in my case my independence came in the way of my vehicle. You see I’m a quadriplegic paralyze from my chest down.

When I entered a nursing home for a pressure sore l lost my vehicle due to non payment. I had to forfeit my social security payment each month only to live in a nursing home. By being in a nursing home I learned the needs of individuals in nursing homes, from Advocacy to technology they need our attention and help.

I may not be able to prevent the elderly and the disabled from having to enter a nursing home, but I can give them a voice and make living in a nursing home as pleasurable as possible.

I have a program that I would like to implement, it’s called: The Senior Technology Program, it gives seniors particularly the senior citizens and disabled individuals in nursing homes an opportunity to learn and experience technology and Advocacy.

Digital Solutions will go door to door offering Advocacy and training to empower those in need and teach technology as an activity to those who are in nursing homes and to those that live in private residences. Digital Solutions is in search of individuals who can contribute any funds to the address below, for a vehicle to carry out its task. The vehicle cost $60,000.00 plus tax and licensing.

More information or Executive Summary available on request.

What would you do?

Knowing investors aren’t knocking at my door and loans has falling through.

$60,000 is needed to start a piece of the puzzle that will change many lives. Not to mention that piece of the puzzle maybe the major potential piece that could put your whole puzzle together. (Piece = Senior Technology Program/Puzzle = Digital Solutions Office & Game Center)

Would you do this? Do the impossible?

· Go door to door to raise the $60,000 in $50.00 contributions from 1000 businesses/sponsors that can afford to help start the piece of the puzzle, at the end when all is said and done, it equals $50,000 and or Go door to door to raise the $60,000 in $25.00 contributions from 2000 businesses/sponsors that can afford to help start the piece of the puzzle, this will equal $50,000 as well?

Or

· Continue to sit on that piece of the puzzle?

Digital Solutions is done sitting on this program. Digital Solutions needs your help to reach so many seniors and disabled individuals that can’t afford technology but would enjoy using and experiencing technology.

Some people spend $25-$50 for a good movie and dinner or more so now then ever, on a tank of gas. With that in mind I’m sure our seniors and disabled can count on the support of their younger generation and peers, to ensure those seniors and the disabled can enjoy technology just as the other generations all over world.

Well here I am… You hear me knocking? Well let me in!

So you decide; obtaining $60,000 may not be so impossible after all?

Digital Solutions Office & Game Center

I’M NOT DISABLED I’M ABLE…

Digital Solutions is requesting $490,000 in funds from sponsors to assist with the establishment of an Office & Game Center. These funds will pay for four half-time Digital Solutions Assistive Technology Computer Instructor (DSATCI) and several Assistive Technology (AT) devices to enhance computer usage.

PURPOSE:

The short-term goal of this project is to develop an Office & Game Center with adaptive software and Assistive Technology. Software for adaptive devices and software that is and will be used by individuals with disabilities can be tested at this Office & Game Center. We’ll provide a unique forum for communications, gaming, eating and entertainment, through a medium of the Internet, videogame consoles and Smarthome Design. There will be a Copy & Print Center on site as well.

Eventually, the project will develop into a mobile computer center which is wheelchair accessible and can travel to remote locations and conduct educational programs and computer repair. During the first two years of the Digital Solutions individuals with disabilities will be able to test and compare software applications. Individuals with multiple disabilities will be able to test several applications together to determine how well they interact.

Access to the methods of communication and volumes of information now available on the Internet. There will be computers, applications and equipment that will introduce the public to enhanced technology. All types of PC and video games and DVD’s will be on hand for sale and trade. Games and office equipment, office supplies that can be sold or independently used in the store, by the public, will be provided to the public. Each computer will have several software applications and programs, which will allow individuals with disabilities to test and learn the usage(s). There will be a computer instructor who will work with individuals to learn to operate the computer system, network, and Internet components. The software will be primarily designed to assist individuals with mobility impairments (quadriplegia, cerebral palsy, amputee, etc.), blind and low vision, deaf and hard-of-hearing, cognitive, and learning disabilities.

All access at a cost they can afford and in a way that they aren’t socially, and economically, or political isolated. Digital Solution’s goal is to provide the community with a social, educational, entertaining high-tech atmosphere. Form a worldwide audience of gamers and communicators. Digital solutions support team will provide the public enhanced technology, on site technical support or at the home. Digital Solutions Office & Game Center will provide Riverside County’s and the surrounding cities low income families, a unique forum in which those families will fill safe and enriched with all of Digital solutions services. The equipment for the center will include adjustable computer desk, modifiable computer chairs, large screen monitor, and a brailed display. Software applications will include four screen reading programs, four screen magnification programs, two screen gazing programs, three voice recognition applications, and three low literacy computer tutorials. The center will also have alternative input devices such as alternative keyboards, pointing or typing aides, and scanners. Some alternatives for the traditional mouse are trackballs, joysticks, touch screens, and touch pads. The Center will also test telephones, alternative communication devices, lighting fixtures/devices, and personal digital assistant (PDA).

There will be a computer instructor who will work with individuals to learn and operate the computer system, network, and Internet components. The instructor will be available to hold afternoon classes. In addition to afternoon classes, a maximum of eight weekend classes covering topics such as screen reader, screen gazing for environmental control, alternative internet applications, voice recognition software, computers as alternative communication devices, low literacy applications, and ergonomics and mobility solutions. Access to Assistive Technology and Smarthome Technology specifically for the disabled and seniors. All in an environment that will be created for that market. One of Digital Solutions Office & Game Center main focuses will be access to new technology and independence for the disabled, seniors and low income

The DSATCI will work with manufacturers to provide Assistive Technology and adaptive software for testing and use at the Digital Solutions Office Game Center. The DSATCI will also work with the AT Publications Coordinator to write and publish reviews on the different Assistive Technology and adaptive software. This information will be available on a web site with a minimum of fifty national links.

SPONSORS INTEREST:

There are several ways in which this project matches the interest of sponsors. The first is it addresses the mission of advancing society through technology and enabling individuals with disabilities to enrich their lives and realize their full potential. Second, it will have a National impact by testing equipment and software and publishing the results. When the Center is mobilized it will travel and provide education to other States * throughout the United States.

STATEMENT OF NEED:

It’s stated that sponsors need an outlet to poor there worthy energy and donations to, “Technology is an equalizer. It enables people to improve their abilities and to assert and fully develop their potential.” The digital divide between individuals with disabilities and the rest of society is continually growing. Through the use of technology individuals with disabilities have the opportunity to reach their fullest potential. Unfortunately, less than 50% of individuals with disabilities who use computers utilize the internet. This is 65% less than the rate for non-disabled youth and adults. The primary reason cited is that there are few opportunities to learn the technology in conjunction with appropriate adaptations and/or Assistive Technology. In addition, because these software/technologies are developed by different companies’ individuals with dual disabilities are limited regarding the software compatibility.

POPULATION(S) SERVED:

The center targets Youth, college students, and executives. Seniors and individuals with disabilities will be greatly targeted. These disabilities include multiple, deaf, blind, mobility impaired, and/or developmentally disabled. Classes will be provided in English, Spanish, and American Sign Language. An emphasis will be placed on recruiting persons who are Latino, African American, American Indian, and Asian American.

EXPECTED OUTCOMES:

Provide communities with the ability to access the Internet, and have a beverage or two.

Create an executive office typed environment for computer user and a comfortable lounge typed environment for gamers at game play on any given game day. People of all ages, people with disabilities and all background will come to enjoy the unique, upscale, educational, an innovative hi-tech environment that Digital Solutions provides.

A center where Assistive Technology for computer use can be utilized, tested, and evaluated with an emphasis on multiple systems.

Produce a manual and Internet site where product assessment will be published.

    Influence web accessibility.

Secure sponsorship for an accessible motor home which can be used to demonstrate this technology.

MILESTONES AND TARGET DATES:

By February 2009 – Create Digital Solutions AT Advisory Committee and elect officers. By April 2009 – Apply and secure funding from sponsors. By May 2009 - the DSATCI will be hired. April 23, 2008 Why can’t Barack Obama close the deal? Posted: 02:02 PM ET

FROM CNN’s Jack Cafferty:

Barack Obama missed another chance last night to knock Hillary Clinton out of the race. He beat her in Iowa, she came back and won New Hampshire. He reeled off eleven wins in a row, she came back and won Ohio and Texas. He had another clear shot at her last night and missed. It raises a question that gets more serious with each passing primary.

Why can’t he put her away? Despite outspending Clinton more than 2-to-1 in Pennsylvania and waging a more aggressive campaign in the final days, Obama came up short again with many of the voters who form the traditional base of the Democratic Party. Clinton crushed him among white, blue-collar voters by 69 to 30 percent. She also won older voters, women and whites.

The last 6 weeks have tested Obama in a way he hadn’t been before. There were the comments from his Pastor, the Reverend Jeremiah Wright which he had to address, his own “bitter” remarks, and a debate performance that wasn’t his finest and raised other questions like his ties to William Ayers, the former Weather Underground member.

Obama will get another chance in two weeks to perhaps end this race if he can win in North Carolina and Indiana. And it’s worth noting that he continues to lead where it matters – in delegates, states won, popular vote, and he’s narrowing the superdelegate gap with Clinton.

But she has succeeded in dragging him onto her playground. Obama got more aggressive and more negative in the closing days in Pennsylvania. And that might have been a mistake. He got where he is on a message of hope and the promise for a new kind of politics.

Here’s my question to you: Why can’t Barack Obama close the deal?

Tune in to the Situation Room at 4pm to see if Jack reads your answer on air.

And, we love to know where you’re writing from, so please include your city and state with your comment.

Plan to Empower Americans with Disabilities

“We must build a world free of unnecessary barriers, stereotypes, and discrimination .... policies must be developed, attitudes must be shaped, and buildings and organizations must be designed to ensure that everyone has a chance to get the education they need and live independently as full citizens in their communities.”

Speak your mind and help set the policies that will guide this campaign and change the country.

    Present your ideas

Barack Obama's Plan

Obamas comprehensive agenda to empower individuals with disabilities fits in with the campaign's overarching message of equalizing opportunities for all Americans.
In addition to reclaiming America's global leadership on this issue by becoming a signatory to -- and having the Senate ratify -- the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, the plan has four parts, designed to provide lifelong supports and resources to Americans with disabilities. They are as follows:
First, provide Americans with disabilities with the educational opportunities they need to succeed.
Second, end discrimination and promote equal opportunity.
Third, increase the employment rate of workers with disabilities.
And fourth, support independent, community-based living for Americans with disabilities.

    Heroes:

    KNIGHT RIDER

On the heels of NBC's hit movie, the iconic 1980s television classic comes roaring back to life as an updated drama series showcasing the new customized KITT (Knight Industries Three Thousand) Ford Mustang. As the sequel resumes, KITT is absolutely the coolest car ever created: its supercomputer capable of hacking almost any system; its weapons systems efficient; and its body -- thanks to its creator's work and nanotechnology -- is capable of actually shifting shape and color. It is the ultimate car -- and someone will be willing to do anything to obtain it. "Knight Rider" stars Justin Bruening ("Cold Case"), Deanna Russo ("NCIS"), Sydney Tamiia Poitier ("Veronica Mars") and Bruce Davison ("Breach"). David Bartis ("Heist," "The O.C."), Doug Liman ("Mr. and Mrs. Smith," "The Bourne Identity") and Gary Scott Thompson ("Las Vegas," "The Fast and The Furious") are executive producers and David Andron serves as supervising producer and writer. Based on characters created by Glen Larson, "Knight Rider" is from Universal Media Studios and Dutch Oven Productions.
