AUTHOR BIOGRAPHY
TRACY L. DAVIS was born in St. Paul, Minnesota. SHE is the great granddaughter of Rev. George Davis, a West Indian man who made historical news in St. Paul, MN when he refused to leave his home on Rondo Ave. due to a new freeway being built. (see picture on left)
AT the age of two she and her mother moved to San Diego, California where she was raised. SHE lived in various parts of Los Angeles and South Carolina. SHE now lives in Atlanta, Georgia. AT the young age of eight she realized how much she loved music, dance, and acting and began to take lessons throughout grade and high school. SHE wrote her first song at the age of ten.SHE continued to write music for years to follow. SHE eventually drifted away from writing music and began to focus on poetry. SHE attended the Minnesota Dance Theatre while her love for ballet was so strong. SHE also attended Nick Conti's Professional Actor's Studio (www.proactorsstudio.com) in Atlanta, GA and worked on the set of Drumline, Fighting Temptations, The Gospel, ATL, and Stomp The Yard.
WHILE growing up she endured the trials and tribulation of life. THROUGHOUT those trials and tribulations, she maintained to keep a positive outlook on life and her dream to be successful. BY the age of fifteen she realized there were many other people in the world that encounter hardships just as she has, with that in her mind she decided she must inspire others. SHE wanted to make a difference in the lives of other teens. AT the age of sixteen she realized her calling was to help and inspire others of all ages. TELLING a story inspired by her life was something she knew would make a difference in the lives of many. WRITING a book was one of the many ideas she had to inspire others.
BEING so young and not having the appropriate resources to start her book, she had to put that idea on hold. AS a young adult she started focusing on the outline of her book. AFTER having many negative comments on her goals and haters back to back, it empowered her to focus even more. HER book entitled YOU TOLD ME THIS IS ONLY TEMPORARY will be out this year. THIS book is not religious. YET, it is spiritual. THE book consists of many life issues we all experience and how to over come those issues. THE topics include CHILDHOOD, ADOLESENCE, ADULTHOOD, PARENTHOOD, FRIENDS AND FAMILY, RELATIONSHIPS, and THE DREAM. THE book will include issues on peer pressure, child abuse, drug abuse, gangs, betrayal, losing faith, keeping faith and lots more. A book of poetry will be released shortly after. She also enjoys spending time at JOI Studios (recording home of Jagged Edge) in the Marketing/ Promotions Dept.
