About Me

This layout is from whateverlife.com!I am a 30something stay at home mommy of one wonderful, beautiful, and spirited child. I LOVE being a mommy and can't remember what it was like before it! :) I'm a HUGE music fan and love music of *most* kinds... especially 8 0s, swing/big band and really odd goofy songs. My most adored band is Squirrel Nut Zippers and I'm still trying to recover from the fact that they're not together anymore! COME BACK SNZ! I forgot to mention that I have been a huge Marilyn Monroe junkie for some 16 odd years or so... and really dig Betty Page and pinup girls. I'm also becoming a huge SIMS2 fan and have been learning how to make some pretty cool movies with that :)

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Dr. Phil, Oprah and that oh-so-yummy Ty Pennington! (And Marilyn Monroe, and Bettie Page, but I don't stand much of a chance with those reunions). The entire cast of Rocky Horror Picture Show, Prince, and Olivia Newton-John (what a true inspiration!) Let's see... who else? Nice people... I like nice people but there are so few of them. Umm... I'd like to meet a flyin pig, too.....

Music:

Squirrel Nut Zippers, Prince, 80s- Duran Duran, Men at Work, Madonna, Michael Jackson (70s and 80s when he wasnt as scary), Eurythmics, New Edition, The Time, Cyndi Lauper, Olivia Newton John, etc..., funk - George Clinton ROCKS!!!, old school rap - Beastie Boys, Run DMC, Biz Markie, Salt-N-Pepa, LL Cool J, etc..., big band/swing - SNZ, Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, Billie Holiday, Tommy Dorsey, Royal Crown Revue, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, etc., dance, techno, retro alternative, disco (especially the Bee Gees), etc..and retro alternative. I also love Gwen Stefani and get a kick out of the Black Eyed Peas. Katherine Whalen has an AMAZING album entitled "Katherine Whalen's Jazz Squad" that I've listened to a gazillion times. I'm also a big fan of *REALLY ODD* one hit wonders. I could go on and on and on.... in fact, I think I already have!..

Movies:

Grease, Grease 2, Xanadu, Rocky Horror Picture Show, Cry Baby, Purple Rain, Breakin', Breakin 2, Chicago, Some Like it Hot, There's No Business Like Show Business, Bus Stop, How to Marry a Millionaire, Seven Year Itch, old war musicals, Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella, Snow White, Billy Madison, Tommy Boy, Wedding Singer, Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles, Pretty in Pink, cheesy B movies (especially the ones they used to show on USA Up All Night) and many many more. How IRONIC is this?!?! Most of my fave movies *ARE* cult classics!!!!
The Movie Of Your Life Is A Cult Classic
Quirky, offbeat, and even a little campy - your life appeals to a select few.
But if someone's obsessed with you, look out! Your fans are downright freaky.

Your best movie matches: Office Space, Showgirls, The Big Lebowski If Your Life Was a Movie, What Genre Would It Be?

Television:

Grey's Anatomy, Dancing with the Stars, Desperate Housewives, ABC HomeMakeover, Supernanny, Family Guy, Lazytown, Wiggles (CUZ THEY ROCK!!!!!), Little Einstein (and only cuz she likes it.....Doodlebops). I used to LOVE surreal life and those crazy VH1 reality shows. I also love watching the I love the 80s series because, as you guessed it.... I LOVE THE 80s!!!!! Hmmm... so of course, that goes without mentioning that I loved all the cheesy 80s sitcoms too (ALF, Silver Spoons, Punky Brewster, Growing Pains, Family Ties, Cosby Show, etc... OH yah....and of COURSE saturday morning cartoons and SchoolHouse Rocks). I will forever be a classic Sesame Street fan.... it just *isn't the same*.

Books:

Dr. Phil books (of course).... back in the day when I had time to read, I really enjoyed Stephen King books. Nowadays, my reading consists of children's books.... The Very Hungry Caterpillar - Eric Carle is a great one! :)

Heroes:

Hmmm... is this a trick question??? I have several heroes... my dad being a major one (given what he's been through in the past 25 years). I think Oprah and Dr. Phil and Ty Pennington are saints for the good they do for so many people. As far as fictitious heroes go, I prefer WONDER WOMAN. She kicks a LOT of bootie. :) Everything about her is cool. Here is yet ANOTHER hero I had as a kid... I thought Letterman kicked GRASS.... (take out the g and the r and we have.....).. width="425" height="350"..If you watched this at ALL as a child, you'll understand the 'grass' thing.
