Trying to expand business?? I love to do all types of things,to see and experience new things, have fun, learn, kiss, have stimulating conversations/debates. oh can i debate! I like to go out, but I like to stay home too. i can probably kick your ass at trivial pursuit and most games for that matter, except on the sports questions. unless i get lucky, cause normally i won't know the answer to "what baseball player on such and such team in 1952 hit the ball 10 times in a row?" or some equally obscure question. **If you're gonna send me an add request, perhaps because you "collect" friends to look cool or popular, but we aren't going to speak....DON'T bother! If you're going to send me a request, EMAIL ME and introduce yourself. The majority of my friends on here are people I know in real life, though of course i'm always open to new people. i speak my mind but am not rude, or mean unless you ask for it! so if you are touchy and easily offended, or don't get my sense of humor, don't bother writing me. MUSIC,MUSIC,MUSIC!!!! Playing piano and bass, listening and live bands. Art. Films. Fun. Very big into films. Laughter. Love. Friends. Intelligent discussions/debates. Learning. Reading. Alot of things. Travel. Comedians I like: Eddie Izzard, Amy Sedaris, John Leguizamo, Dave Chappelle, George Carlin, David Cross, Kevin Smith (when he talks), Jon Stewart, Michael Ian Black is pretty damn funny. I love Jack Black on Mr.Show, great singing voice but some crappy films. Hi Fidelity was great

I'd like to meet:

Harry Connick Jr., oh wait I thought it said who i want to "marry" :P, other than him, to marry, James McAvoy, Benicio del Toro. ok i'm kidding, kinda. anyone whose talents and interests i admire or share and/or i can learn from.... musicians, artists, creative people, out of the box thinkers, open minded, interesting or interested. smart, kind, w/good hearts, independent thinkers. FUNNY people!!! sense of humor is so important, so few have it, it seems. i can be pretty funny in a dry way, the people i tend to find funny are usually very clever w/their humor, dry, witty, quick, sarcastic, not stuff that 5 yr olds find funny.......cool people w/intelligence who are honest, w/similar interests to mine. people who have MANNERS and COURTESY and some values/morals, & are mature enough to be stand up people, straightforward, hopefully try to look at the positives!! it's soooo much easier to be honest w/someone then to concoct lies and excuses. i really don't get all of that, is it for the thrill of trying to see what they can get away with? watch, after writing that, i probably basically put up a "Liars come to me" sign. nope, no liars. MUSIC lovers (GOOD music!), hopefully people who know how to spell, though i can teach you if need be. god, i sound like the people nazi! I love to travel and have done a fair amount, different states, blah blah but have not been to Europe YET (such a crime!), or out of the US unless you count the Bahamas. Would love to Hawaii again, and again. Hawaii good! We are all here to learn from each other, to entertain an inspire and that's what keeps it all interesting. Hopefully. ;) oh, and lest i forget, guys w/big 'ol mustaches, unless you are in the Village People, a cop, OR it's 1972 where you live, PLEASE shave them off! or don't write me. i really can live w/out seeing that and cringing. (it's ok if there is a goatee or other facial hair w/it. but alone, it's just hideous!)

Chicago, Trainspotting, Phantom of the Opera, Rent, Magnolia, Hair, Rocky Horror Picture Show, Leaving Las Vegas, Jesus Christ Superstar. Zeppelin, Hendrix, Joplin, Cheap Trick, Fleetwood Mac, Elvis, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye. Kate Bush is brilliant!! Some 80's, not the 99 luft balloons crap. More of the obscure stuff, like Haysi Fantaysee, Altered Images, Adam and the Ants (my first concert!), B-52's, Beatles. Other stuff that people won't get, but that I know is great. A bit of rap/hip hop Oh, Johnny Cash Patsy Cline, some others......First 4 Lenny Kravitz albums, you heard was how derivative he was but..(so much Beatles, Hendrix, J.Lennon influence) and the "Fly Away" thing, I was ready to fly away if I ever heard that stupid song again. U2, who I came to dig more after I saw the last 2 tours. Other stuff like De La Soul, Outkast, Eminem, Dee-lite, Lords of Acid, Alicia Keys, Harry Connick Jr, the Darkness, Abba, Maroon 5, Jackson 5, Barbra Streisand(early stuff) Joe Jackson (Jumpin Jive is great!!).Billy Joel and Elton John, mostly 70's and early 80's and partially cause i'm a piano player. I can do this for days, and still forget so much.

Love and Sex (one of the few romantic comedies that i like, most are shit). most "comedies" aren't funny in the slightest....i can't get over how brainless most of the public is, rolling in the aisles over the latest version of meet the parents or some crap. it's embarassing!! but maybe they're lucky? to find anything inane hysterical...ok but Knocked Up was funny!! and wedding crashers, there are a few

Television:

Ahhh, let's see....Mad Men, Gordon Ramsey's Kitchen Nighmares, Lost, Ab Fab, Sex and the City,(still great to re-watch), Gray's Anatomy, the Office (british and amer. versions), Sopranos, House, Survivor, Nip/Tuck, Top Chef, I Love Lucy (great, even though I know them all by heart!), Strangers w/Candy, Simpsons (but i think they may have jumped the shark),Dave Chappelle,etc....if I list guilty pleasures, I may embarrass myself. I like some reality shows, I get sucked into...Dancing w/the Stars, America's Next Top Model, Real World/Road Rules, Project Runway, there are some great moments on some of that crap!! ooh, i'm loving that chef show, where the English chef screams at everyone, calls them total fucking brainless idiots...Hell's Kitchen, that's it. History, Biographies, Investigative stuff, murder mysteries, anything that's interesting.

Books:

A Million Little Pieces (whether he lied or not. i didn't think it was too hardcore to be real, i thought alot of it was tame, i've seen and heard of FAR worse,though the airplane scene i didn't buy, there's NO way they would let someone on a plane in that state! no way! or the dentist deal), Running with Scissors, Dry, the Kitchen God's Wife, the Women's Room, Fear of Flying, Diary of a Mad Housewife,East of Eden, all Ayn Rand (Atlas Shrugged, Fountainhead, etc.) The Road Less Traveled, Catcher in the Rye, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Outlander (whole series), Sophie's Choice (great film too),The Charm School, White Oleander, Memoirs of a Geisha, She's Come Undone, Frida, The Color Purple, Rock 'n' Roll Babylon, the Age of Innocence, Night, Valley of the Dolls, I happen to read alot of stuff that later is made into films you name it, I've probably read it, and if not, recommend it to me! Flowers for Algernon, the Reader, the Bell Jar, I Know why the Caged Bird Sings,anything by Amy Tan,Terry McMillan,Harlen Coben, Maya Angelou, Bukowski (from my town Pedro!! well, moved here later in his life), Hunter S. Thompson, on and on. i LOVE to read and do it all the time...

Heroes:

That's a good question, I don't really idolize too often. but My Mom for one, because she is amazing, can do it all and do it well. People that are trying to save our planet and the people on it. Bono is doing alot right now and you can say "oh sure, he's a rock star, rolling in money" but he doesn't have to do a damn thing! Audrey Hepburn for numerous reasons, her great beauty and style being only a small part, she was an incredible person as well! David Bowie and other music revolutionaries that blow my mind w/their talent, Marc Bolan (who inspired Bowie), the Velvet Underground! Elie Wiesel, Nelson Mandela, people who have faced enormous odds and adversity and come out better, stronger and KIND. Anyone that's fearless. Honest people and those who actually back up what they say, are not just talk. Actions truly speak louder than words. True friends, loyal and interesting people! I know I'm one, a true friend, so I would expect the same. People who have character and courage, aren't stupid, oblivious sheep. i.e Bush supporters. Idiots! What more need he do for people to open their eyes? Impeach the moron!ONe of my fav Frida Kahlo paintings....
