READ DAVE'S STORY. . .

Dave has played music for practically all of his life, starting with early "noodling" on instruments such as Ukeleles, xylophones, pianos, and guitars, since the time he was learning to walk.

He Dabbled in a freestyle by-ear "do it yourself" method of learning until about the age of 15 when the seriousness and drive became alot more focused, and particularly that focus was on hardrock music and the electric bass guitar.

Dave was performing regularly in the local bar and nightclub scene of his hometown Tampa Bay Florida, by the age of 16, when most of his highschool mates were off doing whatever the highschool crowd normally does.

Dave spent alot of his early adulthood playing recording and touring with one band in particular. The band was called Midnite, and had a very big presence in the Tampa Bay music scene in the late 80's and throughout the early and mid nineties. Midnite was a heavy guitar oriented power-rock foursome including drummer, Jeff Henry of Adrian Ray, who together with Dave on bass, formed the "diving backbone, heart and soul of Midnite. The band Midnite spent the better part of the early nineties building up heavy followings in numerous cities across the United States as they did in their hometown. This was a very great decade long ride for them, but as the hairband scene was pretty much dead by that time, and musical tastes and ideas started to grow more diverse between the various members, Dave decided it was time to part ways and look for newer opportunities and a chance to create newer, fresher music that would re-kindle his quest for continued musical diversity. Midnite disbanded in 2005.Sometime around early 1995, Dave got the call to play bass as a permanent position in a band called "The Naked School Girls". The Naked School Girls was a band that was founded and backed by Brian Johnson of AC/DC fame. Brian was also the primary writer and producer of the band as well. Kenny McGee Took the helm as Frontman/vocalist.

The next musical phase of Dave's career involved the writing producing/recording of music primarily for Television and radio, mainly in the form of jingle advertisements and Television background and theme music. Examples would include music written for local and national radio advertisements for corporations such as Busch Gardens Amusement Parks, and Wendys' Old Fashioned Hamburgers, etc. Television credits include the writing recording and producing of "Chloe's Kimbale" the original Theme music of the internationally aired "Jack Hannahs' Animal Adventures" which airs regularly in all U.S. markets and over 20 countries worldwide. Jack Hanna's Animal Adventures is the longest-running and most-watched syndicated wildlife show in the world.Chloes' Kimbale has remained the permanent theme music for the show for almost a decade, and the show is still going very strongly. Other T.V. credits include the scoring and producing of the theme music of "Animalwise With Jullie Scardina" from the Sandiego Zoo.

Throughout his carreer, Dave has maintained a very heavy interest in the study and performance of classical music particularly on the violin, which he performs regularly in Orchestras such as the Anona Orchestra, and smaller ensebles and groups made up of various members of the larger orchestras. The love of violin quickly spilled over into the playing and performing of country fiddle and bluegrass music which was a very natural progression for Dave, a musician born in a small town in Virginia.

You can Currently hear Dave performing in one of country musics' hottest new acts,

Adrian Ray and Deep South Thunder

who are anticipating their first worldwide release in the early spring of 2009 with heavy national and international touring in support of the release.

Dave has had a long and very diverse career in music, but he believes the best is yet to come and music for him just keeps getting better and better almost on a daily basis. Dave invites you to join him on his adventure through the magical world of music and hopes you will share and be part of the journey, and as he has said, "the whole point is to be able to share the joy of music and the magic that it brings with others."

The Hairband Years. 1983-1995.
Those were really great years but then I had a Rock n' Roll intervention and was quickly taken back to my country roots

Influences:

" Every single note of music has influenced me in some way.

In fact, all sounds, Even the simplest of sounds; the specific pitch and rythm of a telephone ringing in another room, the humming of the tires of a Tractor Trailer off in the distance on a chilly lonely Virginia morning.

Sounds are my absolute earliest memories of life.

Of all the senses, it is sound that has had the most profound impact in my life.

And in all sound, there is music!"
