About Me

Vedic Space Program The Vedic Space Program's primary function is to explore the sounds of inner space using state of the art analogue synthesizers and hardware sequencers. Our sound research is presented so that the listener may use the generated material for their own inner space exploration.

10 Routines for William LeeThe new album loosely tells the story of William S Burroughs in 10 songs that examine different aspects of his life and work. 1. Los Alamos Ranch SchoolBurroughs attended the Los Alamos Ranch School as a teenager. The school later became the same Los Alamos associated with the Manhattan Project. Burroughs's experience at the school was reflected in his concept of the Alternative Boy Scouts. 2. The Age of ApocalypseThe dropping of two hydrogen bombs and the Cold War framed the general mood of the post war era. All bets were off. Now there was even less of a point to life. 3. Exterminator Vs. Times SquareBurroughs examined the seedy side of life working as an exterminator amongst other jobs. He hung out around Times Square gravitating to petty criminals, junkies and queers. There you have the title of three of his books: Junky, Queer, and Exterminator. 4. Mexico CityBurroughs was already hooked on junk by the time he and his wife hit Mexico City. Whether by accident or design Burroughs fatally shot his wife, doing their nonexistent "William Tell Routine". This action freed Burroughs from anything remotely connected to a straight life. 5. YageBurroughs pursued the telepathic drug Yage or Ayahuasca in the Amazon. His visions were intense and shaped some of the descriptions in Naked Lunch. His and Ginsberg's experience with the drug were published as The Yage Letters. 6. TangierBurroughs then moved to Tangier where he worked on Naked Lunch. Tangier was an international zone in Morocco and wasn't subject to the same laws. Life was cheap and easy. Tangier served as a model for Interzone. 7. Virus 23Burroughs had a theory that language was a virus. This is a musical interpretation of what a virus sounds like. 8. ParisParis is where finally Naked Lunch was completed and published. Burroughs lived at 9 Git le Couer, the Beat Hotel, while in Paris. He met Brion Gysin while living there. They experimented with literary and sound cut ups. 9. Interzone A musical depiction of Naked Lunch's Interzone. 10. Dream MachineBurroughs used dreams as the basis for much of his writing. Gysin fabricated a hallucination inducing light flicker projector and he and Burroughs enjoyed its effects. Burroughs's life was long and complex, but hopefully this album shows the main themes of his life.

I recently purchased a Metasonix TM-3 tube oscillator, which was lucky because they have been discontinued. In 2007 when I bought my Cwejman S1 I was searching the net looking at my options for a semi...

When I bought this they were going out of production. Apparently they discontinued manufacture of this sequencer because of new environmental regulations which would require a redesign. According to D...

Future Retro Revolution 2

The Future Retro Revolution 2 has to be the best analog deal out there ($750). It has a sequencer with a big memory, overdrive, filtering capabilities, and a fat acid sound (if you want that effect). ...

Vermona Perfourmer

The Vermona Perfourmer is a pretty unique rack synthesizer, as far as any era of synthesizers go. You can play the Vermona Perfourmer by turning one to four of the LFOs on and without any keyboar...
